Eff fall and winter. Yep on the fall, lets get right to the snow. Bring it on. Going to be big time this year according to the weather dipshits. I wouldn't mind a winter with lots of snow though

1 12 = 140dbs & 4 18s = 156? How come?
Twice as loud = 10dB increase (as far as I know) Twice the power = 3dB increase Hearing threshold = ~1dB

Scan Speak Illuminator pics
When installing them I think I could take detailed pics of other parts... I was surprised to see so much copper inside.

Scan Speak Illuminator pics
One of the reasons why they cost so much... I also got to see the Leviathan, it was way bigger than expected

Scan Speak Illuminator pics
A customer came in to show me his new speakers, ScanSpeak Illuminators..small format tweeters, 4 inch midrange and 7 inch midbass. Very cool looking speakers, I hope they perform well When looking at the motor I noticed it's held on by 3 torx screws, on both the midrange and the midbass...so why not open them up and take some interesting pics ? Plus I always wanted to see the insides of a Scan motor Midrange: Midbass:

first recone.
If CA glue needs activator to set, it needs activator on the surround landing too, duh I would personally use 5 minute epoxy...seems cheaper.
-
first recone.
I've used 5 minute epoxy on all the glue joints. Gluing the surround is the same as the spider landing, except rotating the whole assembly. You just press onto the surround lip.

Welcome to the IHoP
I'm with you there! I always got after my mom for speeding and such, I was really cautious in high school...after driving for a while and especially in Salt Lake City I don't drive as cautious anymore Me too. In particular when I got pulled over doing 117 in a 30. I got 110 in a 55. It was 2 weeks after oregon made a law that anything over 100 was automatic was a 1k fine. Had a buddy in the car so I got reckless driving also. So in total it was about 1350 in fines, lost my license for 3 months, and insurance was about 300 bucks a month after that. Needless to say I only go 5 over the limit max now. Pfft, I've done 60-0 in 1 second flat Record breaking....and also leg-breaking

Rude!!
X2 Stop crying guys and like one of the rules say "your gonna get answers your post that you may or may not want to hear" so get some thicker skin. Who can actually tell how someone is coming off in an internet conversation and if you can then obviously you arent looking at the content in the message. Your too busy about someone hurting your feelings to actually see how much they really helped you with useful information. Screw all you guys, what the hell do you know. Hell, maybe everyone likes putting fish sticks in and around their mouth. Kanye 2012! Tirefryr, I'm really happy for ya and I'ma let you finish but M5 is the biggest dick on SSA. -Kanye This one really made me lol

Welcome to the IHoP
Seems like the $30 I had to pay to re-take an exam weren't "legal" in terms of the Uni's internal rules so they decided to give the money back. The catch is they want to do it by bank transfer. Not-happy-email just sent...I don't want to pay bank fees and end up with $20 after I payed $30 just because they are lazy.
