  1. yeah i was thinking its going to be something between those lines with testing out based on constant tone on a loop, i want to set it up right tho, hopefully avoid what happened in the past to my sub. p.s. N-am mai fost pe forum de mult timp dar ti-am trimes mesaj inapoi la ce mi-ai scris ultima data acum vre-o luna The method should work good. I'll test it better when I practice for bass-race. Cool, raspund imediat
  2. To tune the PR you attach weight to the moving assembly and the spider could end up supporting 2-3 lbs of weight. What happens when you hit a bump and you have 2lbs of metal washers attached to the spider ?
  3. Is the amp still functional ? Hearing static through the subwoofer is weird, makes me think the amp went south.
  4. Good idea to use a PR to save space. And the box won't be sealed, it will still be a ported box, you are just replacing the port with the radiator. The main problem I see is forces in a car. Having a PR "fire" horizontal, you will have a lot of weight hanging off it's suspension. Hit a bump or a pothole and you can damage the PR. If it sits vertical you will get droop because of the weight.
  5. Nick (NDMStang) posted one option, I can't remember the details, sorry One idea I used is to play a tone of the frequency you need, measure the amp output voltage and turn up the SSF frequency (you start with it set all the way down) until you notice a drop in the output voltage.
  6. Penophiles ? Hmm, just like audiophiles and pedophiles
  7. I still have a few old ones. One with a weird filler, a couple with squeeze fill and 2 cartridge ones which I use at exams.
  8. Next week I'll get a vid of it in my car, even though it's not loud No reason why not to ship to Canada.
  9. Love the intert face he's making
  10. 1/2 liter bottle of Coke, 8 inch flare and 2 10 inch flares. I need to build 4 8 inch flares and 6 10 inch flares. for work. Need to find time to get 5-6 burps in the Jeep to test / tune the new box. And another woot for testing the backhoe today. Seems all is well, electrical works good, hydraulics work good. Just need to finish up the dash.
  11. Blasphemy Give me 4 fried chickens and a Coke.
  12. I haven't had fried chicken in ages ! You guys are making me hungry
  13. Just by a second 12" if they sent you one. 12's in doors. Go big or go home !
  14. I will stick to XP untill a better XP comes up.
  15. and I bet it rattles like a spray can not exactly It's pretty calm for an old diesel. No comparison to the TDI though.
  16. The machinist finished the last aero port mold friday. Now I can build flares for 6, 8, 10 and 12 inch tube. Can't wait to test 8 inch flared vs 10 inch straight and 10 inch flared ports. Port panel removable to compare all port sizes.
  17. Wait a minute, your Jeep is boosted? Anyways, I know with wheeling you won't have the constant air movement through a radiator, so installing an electric fan is a no-brainer, IMO, but only if it's needed. It has the viscous fan, which works good and pulls a lot of air. Just thinking about an improvement over the stock air-air intercooler. The fan shroud is formed so that it pulls air through the intercooler too. Wait a minute, your Jeep is boosted? Four cylinder diesel; either a Renault or a VM Motori Turbo Diesel, VM Motori. Same torque as the 4.0
  18. Oh yeah, main reason I want air-water is lower intake temperatures during 4x4 driving.
  19. By the looks of things I might switch to air-water intercooling in the Jeep. Any oppositions to air-water intercoolers ? Radiator, electric pump, control and plumbing aren't a problem. One of the main hurdles is getting the intercooler...
  20. you're and your
  21. Tatra dump truck. Really ingenious independent suspension system.
  22. Honestly, with the look of the amps and the look of the picture (scanned pic maybe ?) it seems like early 90's PROPS ! Looks great in my opinion.

Shocker Civic has Shocker sigs in plan ?
  24. One day I'm going to choke somebody.... Took the piston once again out of the moped. Fricking thing wouldn't rev. Weighed the old piston, 50 grams. New piston, 65 grams. SO I said I'll just change the rings and out the old piston back. New rings won't fit and I go to the shop where I bought the new piston from. After explaining the situation the lady gets angry and tells me weight doesn't matter and I should have gone to a mechanic to change my piston. And an idiot customer was also trying to explain me that motorcycle engines are soooo different from car engines that the principles don't apply...what a bunch of morons...
  25. BL^2 / Re = actual motor strength, not BL on it's own.
