  1. I very much doubt the Crapfonics shares something with the 400.1. Post some pics to back that up. I'm curious. The price of the components does not determine the voltage rail. It's vise-versa. You have a high voltage rail (which is obtained from the power supply transformers), you need expensive components to work with the higher voltage. And it is not going to determine if you need a very stout electrical system or not. You need power to make power. It can have a 30v rail voltage or a 60v rail voltage, if it makes 600w it uses the same current. On the refurb amp question.... considering the work db-r has done, I would trust him.
  2. Because it is not an accurate description. Most of the people use it to describe systems that are not fart cannons, which is very far from sound quality. Sound Quality Loud ? Does that make sense ?
  3. Merry Christmas to all celebrating it now

  6. DId I ever mentioned how much I hate people that complain something I have for sale is very expensive then they buy something worth more ?
  7. I'm both and when it comes to the Pesos. I've got my savings in $ and payments for the backhoe in euros :|
  8. Just found out that the electric pump I want to use as an after-run coolant pump is used for that purpose on vw turbo engines. And the funny thing is it was cheaper to buy from the USA.
  9. That soup looks very tasty. I need to see if we have something similar among the traditional meals.
  10. Feel free to ask your questions here or make a thread. Make a thread. If you want to describe what you will ask in a thread here fine, but this isn't a place for serious conversation. And definately not the place to show-off links to powersteering components in the signature.... SOOO, basudec1509's signature is getting edited.
  11. I could barely tell where the road was BIghorns love mud and snow
  12. Is that an I-6 engine turned? VR-6. Not inline and not quite V-6. Angle between cylinders is 15deg. I know the US VR-6's were 60 degrees. But the way the intake runners looked and no seeing any valve covers, it appeared like it was a straight 6 lying on its side. I don't have any info on the us versions

  14. Well it would just be because of the car i have and an unsuitable box for it i guess. What are you refering to when you say "Spend your money on something else than a fancy name for a basic design"? is it PWK your talking about? I thought he was excellent at his box building/ designs You have a lot of cabin gain in the car, generally whatever you will test in-car vs in-room is louder in-car. Hey Sam, yea I'm on MEA, my user name is "8adk1d" but I dont really do much there, i just look around.Yea I dont know how i did it really, I think i just gave it a little too much power and Its given way on me but yeah thats the way it goes i guess. The reason i wanted a special design is because even with the recommended box for the IXL, I'm not going to get the sound i want in my current car because of the cabin gain and it would still be too fluctuent in response as it is now, the box i have now is a little small (1.8 cubic foot, before sub displacement) and tuned roughly to 33hz with ample port area and so i was hoping i can find out what i need to do to get the sound i want working with how it sounds in the car. It changed a damn lot going from the house to my car. I'm going to have to get a new IXL because its turned out to be $195 AU for a re-cone kit shipped to where i live and I'm definately not going to re-cone it myself. If i get someone else to do it, it will end up costing more or it will be too near the price of a new one, in which case I'd prefer just to buy another IXL.......maybe a 15" this time Btw that sub in the background is actually a Rockford Fosgate "P2/D2/8" haha Building 2 or 3 boxes and experimenting with different tunings is a far better investment than paying somebody to design something and having that perform below expectations. "Special design"...he doesnt have your ears and your install to be able to design something suited for your tastes.
