  1. This ^ doesn't make sense at all. I've read it 3 or 4 times and I still can't understand it. All the power in the box ? You never hear the rear wave ? Essentially yes, it does sound weird but it works... In essence you are putting all the sound in the enclosure, and you really won't hear much of it, the sound is meant to come from the front of the cone not the back. The rear sound wave never leaves the enclosure, is that what you don't get? Sound is not meant to 'come from the front', it is meant to come from a perturbation in the air, which can be cause by a cone moving back and forth, 2 wings flapping, a door beeing shut etc. The subwoofer is not a fan or hose which moves air in one direction which is what can be understood from your explanation. The cone oscillates back and forth and produces sound. It does not shoot air forward. Or backward.
  2. What are those 2 hoses that come from the lower part of the engine ? Power steering fluid ?

  4. It IS a no-no. You get a lot of vibrations and at some point something can come loose on the board and you end up with a fried amp. I've seen some really ugly damage because of box mounting. Plus when you want to move the box you need to work on the amp too. Real pain the the behind if you ask me. Just because some people do it doesn't mean it's a good thing. Double or triple up the mdf under the amp and brace it well if you want to mount it to the box.
  5. Fusing is based on the wire, not the amp. I'd get a 150-200A fuse.
  6. Fiberglass, poly sheets, sheetmetal, mdf. I'd prefer fiberglass since you can make it pretty rigid and not very thick.
  7. There's an intruder in the group !
  8. Is that 'music' what you're playing there ?
  9. Get a program called MP3 gain and do it before you burn. It also removes the clipping. That's a nice thing to have

  14. I believe it was fritosaregood who built a massive squre flared port ? Sorry if I messed up the name. I've only built a flare out of fiberglass, for a round port
  15. Fuck, why do some ebay sellers have to be so dense ? I was told he can ship somewhere in the US if i pay by wire transfer and now he sends me an invoice with shipping costs directly here. UGH. I need the damn pump like yesterday and he dicks around.

  18. Take the time to read the topic I linked in my previous post and argue after that it the infromation you posted is right or not.
  19. this heats the air and amplifies the sound waves. Ummm, NO. It does not 'amplify' the sound waves. Do you guys ever take the time to read the Technical Info section ?
  20. Happy Birthday MK !
  21. I need a case of beers. Buying two stents for dad wasn't enough, now the hydraulic pump in the backhoe pooped. Fuckin awesome year, minimal income, maximum expenses.

  23. Current state of the pass side kickpanel : Haven't had time to actually work on it, hopefully I'll lay down some FG this week Driver's side still has the mid in a flower pot and held in position with duct tape. Sean, when aiming the mids, should I defeat all t/a settings when listening ? Driver's side is pretty much in the final position, completely on axis so I'll just play with the passenger side mid..
  24. Only went fishing once and that was to watch some friends fish. But then again, all that the people here know is to cast and sit and wait for the fish to bite. Plus there aren't too many fish.
