I was out enjoying the wonderful weather today! Got the mower blade sharpened, the mower cleaned up, and the oil changed. I pressure washed the porch and hung out with Dad for the rest of the day. I'm poooooped. Is your dad doing better? He's getting much better. He's home again today. Confused quite a bit, kinda unsteady gait. But he is making progress. He shouldn't even be alive really, so I'm thrilled with where he's at. Any progress is good progress in case of strokes. I am glad to read he is doing ok.

I read somewhere that you can put it in rice to absorb the moisture.

I've used regular wood screws for my sub and never had problems with breaking screws... As for your electrical question...you didn't tell us what amplifier are you going to use.

A clipped signal contains more power than a clean signal. If the coil can handle the extra power, clipping is not going to hurt it.
