  1. Not neccesarily heavier but use something that cannot flex easily.
  2. Fucking assignment works as it should but the graphs don't look right. And I refuse to copy it from somebody else. *foams at the mouth*
  3. NS3 is neo motored too, IIRC. So both that and the Peerles would be easy to aim. Can you cut the stock kick-panel covers ? That way you could get the speaker closer to the outside of the car, for more leg-room when you aim on-axis. I'm really curious on how high the setup images, with everything in the kicks, as I've never ever heard kick installs (one more reason to try it myself).
  4. One thing you can do with interchangeable ports is to have the music port sit inside the box. When it's time for the spl comp, remove the music port and install an external port. More volume for increased efficiency. And if you have to shorten the spl port to tune closer to the peak of the car you won't have a lot of work to do. You can get a higher score fur sure. One of my designs (6 inch flared port, very low-power 10inch sub + 1100w amp) peaked 141.4dB, engine off, sensor on the dash, passenger side.. If you are going to put a lot of power to it, fire it close to the hatch and fire the port to the side. Works really well to load up the cone and limit mechanical movement. This is how the 141.4 design was aimed. 50+ hz doesn't seem to high, especially for a Fiesta. Where did your current box peak ?
  5. What did you cook ?
  6. I'd rather have a 9811, 9813, 9833, 9835, 9887 and many more. Definitely not the best yet. Why would you rather have the 9835,9833,9811, or the 9813....... There the same Type of head with less capabilities... Scratch the 9811 off the list, it's only got bass engine plus. Copy the link : www.crutchfield.com/S-pVWt3Sused5/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?I=500CDA9815 and replace the model number you want info on. If it's does not have bass engine pro it's not worth decent money. IMO. If you are looking for usb, bluetooth, infrared (and any other conectivity options), go for the new models.
  7. It's rather easy to take the plastics off. I can almost do it blindfolded Tuned in on this. Post lots of pics!
  8. Haters these days
  9. You could use 2 4 inch ports and plug one to tune lower

Blow-up doll is a bit more fun if he wants human prop
  11. You can get the same amp under a diffrent brand. And probably for less.
  12. All the fuses on the wiring are there to protect the wiring and the size should be determined based on the size of the wire, NOT on the size of the fuses on the amplifier. Running 1/0 from the battery to a distribution block is what I would do. Then from the distribution block to the amp, the biggest gauge that fits in the amp terminal. If the amp accepts 1/0, I would only use a fuse next to the battery. 200-300A fusing is ok for 1/0. If the amp doesn't accept 1/0, you could use only one next to the batt and for added safety one smaller fuse right after the distro block.
  13. Another good midrange (imo) is the Vifa TG9FD10-08 http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...roducts_id=8404 I have heard that in conjunction with the LPG (both on axis) and the combo sounded very nice.
  14. You need to upload them to a hosting site (photobucket, tinypic, imageshack) and then post the code between [ img ] tags. *Moved to off-topic since posting pics isn't a problem / question related to FI.
  15. This week I have nothing but exams, studying, projects and then tests. And because of the projects for next week I have to stay home in the weekend FUCKING GREAT.
  16. I've used both regular wood screws and t-nuts on my 10. And they worked just fine. I have also read about people using t-nuts for the 8. Just make sure you glue the t-nuts to the enclosure.
  17. You can check the actual screen by pointing a flashlight on the screen when it is blank. If you can't see anything, then the screen is the problem. If you can see something on it, its either the lamp of the lamp power inverter. Seach a little on google, you can buy lamps and replace them for rather cheap. Did you try to turn it on when its open and see if the lamps light up / turn off randomly, like the screen ?
  18. USPS broke the basket on a 3515 I got here...but hey, it was shipped overseas. The basket on my xxx was also broekn when I got it, not sure who is responsable. Metal epoxy for the win.
  19. Yes, it looks like an ethernet cable. If it works like I think it does, you can just remove it when you set the gain. Or set it to max like shizzon said.
  20. I know a few people who keep houndreds of audio CD's in the car just because "mp3 sucks". One of them wanted to install armoured glass to reduce road noise. Talk about obsessions.
  21. Chicane albums were a nice surprise. Good recordings IMO. Can't find them in flac so I might just start buying albums
  22. Although the analyzer can show some differences, your ear is a whole different animal. Obviously the all digital analyzer has a bit more capability to resolve than we can. In the mp3 realm 192k is audibly different on some tracks, although not all, in particular in your car. Hell I guarantee most people couldn't tell the difference back to back. I'm not even bothering with extremely high quality when the engine is running in my little tractor. Although I have to admit I noticed some diffrences driving in a friend's car but i think most of them are because of very high recording levels.
  23. can be if you buy the albums True, true. I was tempted at some point to start buying. Had some "bad" experiences lately, same song downloaded from 3 sources, each version sounded diffrent.
  24. Very true, I have some music that I would dearly love to have recorded better, but alas, it was when the artist was not a very big name and it sucks. Funny thing is RHCP had good recordings back in the day. The newer albums are recorded like crap.
  25. Sad thing is not everything can be found in .flac Also, the actual quality of the recording matters. I have some Red Hot Chilli Peppers albums in flac and the recordings are garbage.
