  1. I use www.sitesurf.net hidemyass didn't work with a few forums.
  2. Do you realize you picked about the most overpriced car you can look for from that era? *sigh* yes, I know Didn't know that ! I found a few pics of a project where they used new rear quarterpanels...
  3. Only thing that would worry me about them is if I can go without a tweeter. Those would be far more easy to hide in the kicks. And as you said, even in the A-pillars.. EDIT : just checked and my Seas's are 53mm in diam and the Peerles is 55x55mm...hmm, even more tempting
  4. Current setup is Mach 5 MLI and Seas H1396 amplified by an Eclipse EA4000 and all the processing is done by my Alpine 9813. I'm very satisfied with the midbass output and the top end, it's just that midrange isn't cutting it After seeing Ryan2's idea with the Fostex FF85k's I thought trying a pair and ditching the tweeters. I don't want to invest in the H701 at this time and try 3-way (would require some sort of controller too and another 2 channel amp, not to mention the extra room ) The problem is placement. I have no room in the dash to mount them. Pics of the "locations" : One idea is to use the kicks. Passenger side is ok, driver's side could work but there's very little room between the clutch pedal and the kick and that could ruin the whole deal. Another option is in place of the small grill below the dash. It's significantly closer to the headrest compared to the kicks. 3rd option would be on some sort of door pods. Similar distances like on the piece below the dash. It would be something more to my liking (kicks and 2nd option could be uncomfortable when getting in / out of the car) I know it's hard to determine a good position without listening at first. What are your guys thoughts on the placements ? Especially on the door placement !
  5. 3 reasons basically: I've always wanted to try a moderate sized sealed setup Out of all my setups in this truck I've enjoyed my two sealed se15's the most. (I've had two dd1508's ported, an hdc318 ported, an rlp18 ported, and a FI q15 ported in this truck, the sealed se15's were the most fun, if I can get that sound only louder I'll be happy) I can always go ported later if I decide to. Unfortunately to do so I'd have to go above the window line and since this is my daily driver I'm just not ready to do that yet. Why not stick with 2 sealed se15's if you enjoyed them the most ?
  6. Also, looking at the whole deal, it's something I will only do once and would preffer to get just what I was looking for A rustier 69 could do, if it's something fixable. I don't know if it is possible to find body parts for those. As far as shipping goes, there are a lot of guys over here who import cars from the US (haven't seen too many muscle's imported though) Just thinking out loud. I really want to take my time and analyze my options.

Double baffle and lots of bracing and 3/4 inch mdf will work. My xxx 18 has lived in a double baffled box, 3/4mdf and has seen around of 3kw on burps. No problems with the box
  8. I plan on buying a '69 Think you can give me a hand with finding one in decent condition ? I can try, but you're either going to find a decent deal on a rust bucket that needs a ton of work or pay out the ass for a car in good condition For now I'm mostly thinking about how much will one that needs work will cost me so I can start saving up (easier to save money if I have a certain goal) The 69 is on the top of the list of what i'd like. 67-68 are in a close second. Are those easier to find and / or cheaper ? Not looking for those special series and engine codes. I don't care about getting matching numbers. Something with a small engine since, along the lines of yours

  10. Did you mount the amp on the box ? That's when stuff like that happens..

  18. Oh snap, I just bought a broken DD Z1. My Hifonics Thor hasn't arrived yet and I've bought another broken amp. I hope I can fix the Z1 though
  19. Curious on the pricing of the better speaker wire I agree on the copper is copper idea It's not like you are playing every day with the wire. You run it once and it's done.
  20. Ugh, had to break into the Jeep after dad locked the keys in. Luckily there is some info on forums about how to break into the car
  21. Maybe it is a huge gap. It's modeled after the gap between some people's ears... Oh, I literally lol'ed. /offtopic
