  1. ya i suppose its like with any other deck once you have set the gains you dont go past that special digit, problem is you always get other people wanting to touch your bottons.. but i will keep the bamboo at hand so i can ninja them I like the bamboo idea Between 40 and 60hz. I generaly use 50hz for subwoofers.
  2. If the deck has 8v outputs, why do you have to turn it up all the way ? You will get max output from the amplifier at a lower volume of the deck. Only thing you have to do is know when to stop turning the volume knob..
  3. I want a load like that
  4. Midbass : HP @ 31hz, 3nd order (works ok at 40hz, 2nd order)., LP @ 3.2khz, 2nd order Tweeter : HP @ 4khz 2nd order. It might work for your setup, it might not. Try listening only to the tweeter (and only the midbass) and play with the crossover points and slopes untill it sounds the way you like it. Don't go lower than 2.5khz and 2nd order on the tweeter.
  5. Fuck sonicelectronix. They need me to FAX a credit card authorization form ? And it's just for a $550 order "we're sorry, it's against the rules not to send billing papers and it's illegal to declare a smaller value" = we're sorry, we want you to get plowed in the behind by the customs office.
  6. I can't say that I have any respect for a prof who rights tests where a calculator would be beneficial. At least Calc or higher anyway. Calculators are allowed in Diff EQ, and physics but if you couldn't do the problem anyways the calc wouldn't help you till maybe the last step if at all. Now that is for tests, they were written so you didn't need a calculator, nor was it that beneficial. No calculator allowed here in diff eq's.
  7. Paper and pencil ftw
  8. Can the 9861 control the H701 ? not very well, really it is best to just change presets with it and have the controller elsewhere ishboo Fricking Jeep dash. Need to measure how tall is an Alpine flip-out screen and see if I could squeeze it in the 9861 would work fine for you, like sean said, it doesn't do it well, but what that means is that it's a complicated thing that takes time to do through the unit. The controller is actually very small and you could plug it in to set it up then just unplug it and stick it in the glove compartment. From there the 9861 would be fine for manually tweaking a setting now and again. If it's not too complicated it should be ok...I mean I'm not changing things around too often. I have seen the control from the d105...easy as pie If I would find a 9861 locally I could install the controller in the glove compartment...since I'm not using it at all. But first I need to get rid of this sub amp. I'm just asking around so I know what I shoulc keep an eye out for

  10. what do you need from who Thanks dude but the problem got solved sort of. Good friend of mine sold his 13w7 and wanted something faster...looked for a pair of idmax's but nobody would answer Ended up buying a new 13w6v2. We'll see how he likes it. faster? perhaps building a different box would have been the best bet. He tried 3 sealed boxes and 2 ported boxes. I really liked the w7. His setup : all Audison amps, L22, Peerles 3inch mid, lpg26nfa. Told me it was a bit slow on electronic music...and supposedly a pair of Infinity Kappa perfect's were faster than the w7? Output-wise it had no trouble. I've seen a 140 on the tl out of it..sealed..not that it mattered too much
  11. Midrange / Mid-bass Could be used 2-way or 3-way. Will prefer a low tweeter crossover** point but can be used as high as 5k with some EQ work (either boost up high or cut down low to level it out). ** - I wonder what tweeter it would work well with? Hmmm I'm going out on a limb...the tweeter you are working on ?
  12. Long autumn, 1 month of winter (with lots of snow) and a very early spring would be awesome. I can't stand the cold
  13. 8PM and it's starting to get dark. I already miss summer
  14. Just saw one for sale. It can only do 2-way front + sub. Bass engine pro. 3 pairs of outputs

  17. Wouldn't help too much if I posted when I start classes again...
  18. Welcome back
  19. Inductance is the thing that will interfere with your calculations. You will most likely see well over 1 ohm actual impedance so those basic formulas do not apply If the guy who benched it had a non-inductive load, TRD's math is spot on
  20. Nice work Ryan2 !
  21. Awesome build man
  22. Kitteh approves on the sub
  23. Fuck german auctions on ebay Those people never accept paypal, never ship outside Germany and always respond sloooooooow
