  1. Those speakers was in the car when I bought it ... wasn't my idea ... With a 12 second street / strip car, less weight as possible was the concept ... not the big stereo system ... If you do not like the way I type, then you can ban me ... I really don't give a Shit ... You were the one that said sounded great. Sounded great for what I needed, but never said anything about a sound stage. All I really cared about with that car was outrunning Mustangs in the quarter mile ... My tag said "I eat GTs"

  3. Is those the Hybrid L1 pros ??? I was in competition this past weekend with a very similar setup (sounded Great) ... Very nice ...
  4. Excellent project vehicle my friend ... My friend has those Boston Acoustics plates in his Trans Am running off radio power ... This is his weekend drag machine so nothing heavy but wanted something to listen to ... Sounds great for what it is ... Might be an option for ya while you get other stuff taken care of first ... just a suggestion ... Any "hop ups" to that HO305 yet ?? First thing I did to mine was the underdrive pulleys and exhaust system ...
  5. WOW !!! This car brings back memories !!! I had a 1985 Camaro IROC Z28 ... I really miss that car ... Mine had the Alpine plates in the stock locations (dash and rear quarters) ... Sounded Great ... Can't wait to see what you come up with here ...
  6. This was a Great Event ... It was Great to meet up with all the Forum Friends ... I had alot of fun ... There was around 50 Sound Quality vehicles and Who knows how many SPL rides there (too many to count) ... and from what I heard, Several SPL world records broke !!! That was Awesome !!! Thank you to everyone from SSA I met up with and can't wait to see you guys again ... I am suppost to attend MECA Finals but I do not think the wife or Comcast is going to let me ... So for those who are going, Best of luck to you all and I will be there in 2012 !!! And to all you Texas folks going to BassBattles Finals ... Wish I could go (and I still might show up, who knows) Best of luck to you all also ... Thanks SSA ... Randal ...
  7. Awesome Build Sir ... You going to be at the Show this weekend ??
  8. If the two alts put out the same charging voltages, I would wire them together ... If they put out two different charging voltages, then you have to run them separate ... but If i did this, i would run all stereo amps off the secondary alternator ... just my suggestion here ...
  9. Welcome to SSA !!!
  10. Awesome bro ... Very nice !!! My ports are 40 inches long per chamber ... Yes, 80 inches of port tuning ...
  11. Most SQ machines I've listen to had midrange drivers in the kicks and midbass drivers in the doors ... Me pulling my midbass drivers out of the kicks and going into the doors was the best thing I could have done for my application as a 2 way passive, and my crossover roll off is 32 htz ... And The drivers seem to enjoy it ... Also made my stage width A LOT wider ...
  12. That's what I've been told my brother ... Lol ... Its all good though ... I just don't see those large drivers getting enough air space in the kicks to perform correctly ... And thinking the stage height (before tweeter contribution) too low and width too narrow unless you put a ton of processing on it ... If I was going to put anything into the kicks, it would be midrange drivers, not midbass drivers ... But then again, what do I know ...
  13. I wish I could help you Sir ... But the SSA tech team does not like my advice ... I would tell you everything the judges and mentors have told me over the years ... If you would like to chat about this, I will be glad to help. Just send me a PM ... Thanks ...
  14. The only way it would sound better is going down the 1/4 mile !!! Awesome Machine !!!
  15. Nice repair job Denim ...
  16. Alot of things has been going on with "White Lightning" lately ... Hopefully, I will have this thread (and alot of others) updated between USACI and MECA World Finals Events ... Got the New sterring wheel installed ... looking for a set of bucket seats to move the driver / listener seating positions colser to the middle of the truck ... and build a cool center console with a performance floor shifter ... Got the New Blues Car Audio BL5.25 midrange driver installed in the center channel location and working to expectations ... Installation on this is not complete yet (getting new custom trim ring made) so I will post pics when done ... MAJOR stage and image improvement ... Still working on the 6.5s in the doors ... getting new custom trim rings done and will post installation pics when done ... MAJOR stage and image improvement ... Put the kick pannels back origional, but got some plans in the works for something really cool for the kick pannel area ... (something more along the lines of more "up front" bass maybe) Got something really cool going on with the rears ... installation in process ... not releasing any plans or pics until USACI World Finals ... I can tell you that the imageing tweeters are going away and I will be using 4" Kicker Resolution Midrange drivers for this task until the Blues Car Audio 4" drivers are ready ... This is really going to be trick, you're going to like it ... Now all of this is not complete yet because of something that happened to me the other day ... My new sponsor is sending me a package to be installed in "white lightning" before Finals ... I am VERY excited about this !!! None of this info will be given until USACI World Finals ... I have a ton of pics to post on all this and will be taking ALOT more for forums and competition install book ... This truck is like me ... The black sheep of the car audio family ... NOTHING is normal about this truck, nor will it ever be ... I like being different ... Hell, its all trial and error anyways ... What good is car audio if you can't have fun with it and tear shit up ... Now guys, PLEASE ... I do not want to have a Sound Quality debate or arguement about any of this ... I could care less if it is "text book" or not ... Its all in good fun "For the Love of Music" anyways ... Thank you SSA for letting me get on here and post on this AWESOME forum ... Please Stay Tuned ... Thank you Randal Tean Linear Power / Blues Car Audio and Team "to be announced" ...
  17. Awesome Truck !!!
  18. Just a question Sir ... If you are on Team SSA, Why are you not running Bravox ??
  19. Please get over your idiotic competition nonsense. If you want to demo what SQ sounds like just put on some headphones or sit in a living room with a half decent stereo. It really isn't that hard. Can you not read ??? I said absolutely nothing about competition ... And to be honest, I never said anything about listening to my truck because the equipment /setup he is looking for is nothing like mine, but there is PLENTY vehicles set up like what he is interested in ... And i would like to meet up with as many SSA members as possible just to chat, demos, pictures and vids ... Quit being so subjective ... Maybe if you went to a few competitions, who knows, you might like it ...
