My dad has a 49 ford 2 door sedan with a Flathead straight 6 ... that thing sounds sweet !!! smoothe as a sewing machine !!! I know he had at one time a 38 ford coupe with the flathead V8 with the 3 deuces (factory) ... Back when I was a kid ... can't remember what it sounded like ... I went kinda old school with my truck ... true duals with "Cherry Bomb" Glass packs and 2.5" pipes out the sides behind the rear tires ... fairly quiet going down the road with the windows up ... until you put yur foot in it ...
