Yea I Made a bad start. Sorry bout that. But after reading the MECA rules, Sounds like a fun thing to do next year. I just wish there was a few in Mississippi. I'm looking for a 2500 series truck to drive daily so I could park and trick out my 97. Next year I plan to go to ALOT of shows. (with the 97 on a trailer I hope).

I personally don't compete in SPL. My truck is a SQ vehicle. If MECA rules are more strict than USCAI, Than I'll just better myself when I compete anywhere. By the way, Very sorry for throwing off your thread.

where can I find a list of shows? They started a new SQ class around finals last year. I'd like to maybe meet up and talk shop.

ahh .. ok ... I didn't Know what the max frequiency you could use. Thats what I was looking for. I'm going to look at utube, a friend of mine videoed those vehicles. Maybe we can find something.

There were two trucks at finals in tulsa that scored real high in db drag. It looked like they had used some type of sheet metal ... real smoothe stuff. I couldnt get close enough. almost like a bandpass style (sort of) They called me to judge my truck so I had to walk away. We are trying go get one of our trucks past a 154 db with 2 15s in a quarter wave wall tuned to 57 htz. So we are in the same boat.

you using slot ports, round ports, or quarter wave style box. whats your tuning / peak frequiency.

I guess the only suggestion that I could give now is : From someone married happily for 16 years, wait till after the wedding, she will be all happy then, then just find the amp you want and not have to worry about a budget.

Everything revolves around you amps sir. Wiring, Charging, Fusing, Number of batteries, better grounding. You honestly tell me with the list you have in your sig. is that you personally wouldn't find the best amp for your needs before you bought all the other stuff ?? I'm not talking SQ here. I'm talking SPL.

My way of thinking is buy the baddest ass amplifiers I can find and then find drivers to match. EVERYTHING revolves around the quality of the amplifiers.

You might try this ... Isoberic the 18s. one in front of the other facing each other. reverse polarity the 2nd sub. you will see the back of one sub but some people like that. Maybe just a little larger than a single 18 box but will take ALOT of power to push. Tune the box to 32 htz, That thing shood look cool as hell, sound great, and rip your head off at the same time. Then again, Just a suggestion sir to keep both subs and a smaller box. Please take great detail in planning and building the box. It WILL be a task to make it sound right.

go buy you 20 X-plods and build a wall ... ... uuhhh
