  1. 2 18s will take up your whole bed. 18s might not stand up under the bed cover. You might want to grab a 18 frame (speaker), set it to a 45 degree angle and see if it fits. I can't tell, Do you have a fiberglass bed cover ?? My box is designed the same as a hatchback box with a modified front.
  2. welcome ...
  3. Think of it this way ... I have a teenager and a "almost" teenager (boys) ... You can imagine the rock stuff they listen to ... My "rock disc of choice" at shows is "The Way of The Fist" by "5 Finger Death Punch" ... Loud and Proud with no distortion ...
  4. I forgot to mention, most people might disagree with me, but tuning a enclosure that low you might want to wire your subs up no lower than 4 ohms. It takes an amp more power to produce those lower frequencies. 1/2 or 1 ohm setups are mainly for spl, not sound quality. just a suggestion, but if you go lower than 4 ohms to get 19 - 24 htz notes, I hope you got insurance on your amps. You might need it. Most people who set in my truck tell me my setup is more aggressive with lower frequiencies, lower spl levels than most sub enclosures set up at 32 - 40 htz with higher spl levels. This was said by several people at USACI World Finals last October. Best of luck to you sir ... hope this helps ...
  5. I agree with M5 ... Get the front stage up to par, sometimes you'll forget you have subs in the back ... This is not an easy task depending on the vehicle ... good luck sir.
  6. welcome ... Good luck finding a ride. What are you looking for??
  7. You might have to tune your sub enclosure lower to get those frequencies. Like maybe to 20 - 24 htz, but you may loose higher spl levels but sounds way better for Sound Quality. It was told to me that the average Sound Quality vehicle does around 135 db, but at 28 - 32 htz ... To me, hittin those LOW notes is more impressive than loud SPL. It helped me out. Just a suggestion sir. Then maybe the EQ might come in to play. Mine did ...
  8. welcome ...
  9. Awesome ... Different ... cool ...
  10. WOW !!! Now that's Custom work there ... Very clean sir ...
  11. yea welcome ... I went from 1999 - 2006 without a big audio system due to the family thing. but now definitely getin back into the swing of things ... so much fun ... Good Luck Sir !!!
  12. The 10 L7 should be in a better built enclosure than a prefab. It can't breathe properly. Tuning the box is very important too. I never could get my subs to sound right until I cut my wall.Just tryin to save you a few dollars maybe. Just a suggestion.
  13. hello ... good luck with your build ... post pics when possible ...
  14. Hey sir, question please ... you plan on putting 2 18s in the bed with a cut thru into the cab? That should be cool ... Id like to listen to that when youre done ... Mine is awesome with just 2 10s ... I can imagine the power of those 18s ...
  15. Nice ride !!! Cool system ... My dad had one (not a convertible) when I was a kid ... Those are fun to drive ... I think my dad still has his Webber Carbs and Headers for the one he had ...
  16. WOW!! That box looks too much like work. Too big and too heavy for my truck. Nice carpentry skills though. I'm glad we kept mine simple. I just used alot of 4" pvc. Best of luck to ya sir.
  17. wholy lo notes batman !!! Mgb, I just realised ... the sub is in front facing forward ??? That should sound wicked ...
  18. mgb, running a 2.2 and a 1752, do you think you might need more battery power?? You should be pulling alot more current. v6, (lol) I forgot, how many batteries you running??
