  1. Sean, I'm not getting into this with you ... I've met up with Mark and Aaron at different events, they looked and listened to our vehicles and was very impressed. This forum promised me that if the admins though anything bad about me or my equipment, I'd leave and never return ... But their thoughts were a very good positive ... So that should be good enough for you since you will not bring your ass out into the real car audio world and demo our vehicles in person ... So please, talk to Mark and Aaron about their thought on my truck and quit picking these fights with me cause I'm not going to do anything "textbook" to my truck. I have more fun the way things are now ... So please ban me or leave me alone ...
  2. That's fine Sean ... Its cool with the theories and principals not working according to textbook. But as long as I keep high standings in with the MECA judges saying my truck has some of the best staging and midrange that they've ever herd, that's all that counts ... I could care less about the mathmatics, as long as everyone that sits in my vehicle is impressed with the sound ... I'm happy But thanks anyway for your input ...
  3. Are you going to Florence, Al on the 27 th ???
  4. Does SSA have a separate admin panel ??
  5. That's correct Sir. Passive (with phase compensation) 5.25" component set on the dash crossed on the low end around 100 htz on a 150 watts per channel, and active (with phase compensation) 6.5" midbass drivers low in the doors cut on the top end around 175 htz and the low end around 50 htz on 150 watts per channel ... For now
  6. Interesting build. You know I will be tuned in.
  7. Thanks man, the truck is going in the body shop soon ... Also, got to tear back into my interior to find and fix some troublesome rattles ... One of the nightmares of using your daily driven "old truck" as your Sound Quality vehicle ... LOL
  8. very nice looking drivers
  9. I take it that you run amplifiers for your mids and highs ... If so, I would not change anything with that to run a separate driver outside the vehicle ... You may take a chance of hurting your amplifiers. My Suggestion would be to (if you have them) use the radio power (rears) on your headunit ... that way you can fade them in and out without changing anything to your primary setup ...
  10. We use to back our trucks into the drive in parking places to chill in the bed while watching the movies ... They had those small speaker boxes to hang on your window like a Sonic Drive in trey ... My apologies, I did not know they use AM to broadcast their signals ...
  11. Don't think this has anything to do with a front stage
  12. Getting everything back to normal due to the recent Hail Storm ... I could think of alot more fun things I'd like to do with my weekends ...
  13. Hello Chris, Welcome to SSA Very Nice looking Car !!! Can not wait to hear it ... Hopefully I can have a hand at helping you tune it. See you soon brother !!!
  14. Damn ... Almost forgot these !!! Thanks to the recent hail damage, my headliner has to be redone also, guess this is gonna be a great opportunity to finally install the sound deadner to the truck's roof too ... but got some "grainy spur of the moment" pics with the old blackberry phone of the front stage and the 5.25" component set in the dash ... I took the grille covers off for the pics ... and No, I'm not finished with the air conditioner controls yet, beings that my wife's car got totaled in the hail storm, my truck is our ONLY transprotation until we find her another vehicle so working on the truck has stopped for the moment ... Due to circumstances beyond my control, we had no tuning time for SBN, and had to turn off my door midbass drivers before the competition ... So I went through the MECA Moddex class with only the dash and the subs ... but scored suprisingly well ... Now we have the Linear Power X02 on the door drivers and Can't wait to try it again in Florence, Al 4-27-13 !!!
  15. Got some severe hail damage the other day ... Hoping to get the body work started, We installed a fiberglass Cowl hood on White Lightning the other afternoon ... It's just mocked up, still gotta do some trimming, sanding, filling, priming, defacing, etc before paint and clear. Decided to take some pics to see what evey one thinks and it started to get dark, so I fired up the LEDS ... Sorry for the "Unfocused" pics ... LOL
  16. I'm running a pair of 2 channel amplifiers for my front stage ... The larger amplifiers seem to have a lot more driver control, dynamics, and headroom than having a single 4 channel amplifier ...
  17. I'm looking for mine ...
  18. If you have the wire to spare, I'd run a pair of cables as if you was planning to run active from the start ...
  19. I wish I knew more about those tweeter selector switches, but we don't have that option on our (Blues) component sets ... However, a friend set his CDT switches to "0" and everything seem to work fine ...
  20. happy birthday
