You need armor plate steel. AR500 I think is the common name. I am on the phone. I'll check it out, I figured I'd just get a 3/4" plate next.

Shot the 308 at some homemade steel targets at 300ish yards away today. I was surprised it punched holes through the steel, mind you it wasn't 3/4" more like 3/8", and wasn't that far out so velocity was still fairly high, but still--hot knife through butter.

Speaking of unrelated awesomeness, I ordered some 1 1/2" manila boat rope, and received a duplicate order. Checked the bank account, and only charged once. Going back and forth whether I should ask them if they want it back, but it's only ten feet, and their invoice does say "non-returnable."

With in reason, due to the cooling channels, as long as the cone is moving the coil is cool enough. Can I use it as a hot-plate?

Can you make changes essentially "on the fly" with the laptop connected? How long would it take to change some crossover point and slope?
