Sps tact aac has 20", or I go with the varmint, but it's 26". aac already have threads for suppressor, but I could cut down the varmint, and get the end threaded for that matter, but the aac would be cheaper.

It's 20" with 1:12, people don't seem to notice much difference against the longer barrels, perhaps in a different caliber.

This rifle is going to be a snubby. I also have to decide if I'm going to go with a lighter stock for ease of carrying around, or heavy for reduction in recoil.

I'm not going to answer that.

Trying to enlarge their target audience I'm guessing.

Well I'm pretty set on my glass for now: http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-viper-pst-4-16x50-ffp-riflescope-with-ebr-1-moa-reticle/reticle I still have to decide if I'll go with an moa or mrad style reticule, but it's an FFP, has a bunch of nice features, and well it's a Vortex.

God I wish we had a good place to get fresh seafood here in the desert. The best place that I have found is costco. Try Lee Lee's Oriental, 17th street market, AJ's Fine Foods, Whole Foods, Dickman's Meats, Rincon Market Pretty sure that a few of them will be able to hook you up. Ask for their delivery day though and shop then. My aunt use to be the produce manager at our local AJ's, and I always got to eat stuff from the produce section for free. The sushi section was pretty good too, I'm sure it's not the same as being in Japan, but it was nice.
  9. You'll likely have to get your hands dirty with some fiberglass to really get everything installed correctly, so when you do: UScomposites.com 435 Standard Polyester Layup Resin (Marine Grade Resin) includes catalyst (mekp) 3/4oz Chopped Strand Mat Aerosil-Cabosil They mixing containers: http://uscomposites.com/containers.html Also have a mekp bottle for making accurate ratios of mekp to resin. If you want to "cheat" for making the shape of what ever pod or panel you do, you can use their expanding foam, but you'll just have to "open up" the inside afterwards (which may or may not make things easier). Don't forget a bunch of cheap throwaway brushes, painter's tape, mold release spray, latex gloves, and a decent respirator. I'm sure I'm forgetting something. If/when you go to do it, let me know, and perhaps I can come up and help.

Start with a known dope sheet for your barrel length and caliber/load. You will need to test in reality. Elevation(AKA air density) makes a difference even. I think you said. 308 is your choice and i gaurentee you can even find AZ. 308 dope sheets online for what ever ammo you buy! AZ is a popular shooting place. Only issue is out here where Stefan, Myself, and ricksi are there are HUGE changes in elevation in just a few small miles. Stefan if you want to test some shit out and not have to pay for anything but ammo lemme know a day u wanna head down here. I can get ya on an outdoor range and get a variety for ya. J Sweet, ill hit you up once I get everything. We call it a range.........Its just a huge amount of space we can shoot in. Its a perk of having a friend who owns acres and acres between himself and his family. J That's sweet, I've seen a lot of people on the forums in the midwest that shoot on their land, for as far as they can see. One guy moved out near SF in cali, near the agriculture area, rural, tons of land to shoot, said there was tons of different game, and then he'd take a 45minday train ride and be in the center of SF. Made me so jealous.

I actually found there's a public range about five minutes from my house, and it goes out 200y. So I have quite a few options fortunately. Ill still likely do most shooting nonrange, but range will be nice for zeroing in

Do you know of any suppressors for 308 that are decent, and under $500? Clamp on, or threaded. I don't plan on getting one now, but down the road, and I can get the rem 700 in a version with a threaded barrel. Price not including tax and paperwork fees from atf.

Matt can I rely on a trajectory chart with the ammo I intend on using for bullet drop, or will I need to measure it out at a range? Starting to get the moa and mils figured out. Ill mostly be using 8.5 x 11 for targets, so I plan on making a simple chart with mils to distance in yards with 11*27.77 / milincrements = distance yards.
  19. Nah man yours is bigger than mine lol. Not saying that they are not big but they really do not take away much area from the foot compartment. My latest are a bit smaller, at least I'd like to think they are.

I'm surprised the excess glue on the joints and dustcaps aren't being charged for since it'd definitely handle way more power.
