You should post this under the "Speaker" section as your question has nothing to do with Fi. People are going to FLAME the shit out of you because you have put zero effort into forming a decent question. List your depth restrictions, budget, what you've heard in the past (and liked or disliked), and a more detailed explanation to your goals, other then "sounding good." Will these speakers be on an amplifier? What do you currently dislike about your current speakers, what's lacking? the more information given, the easier it is for others to offer helpful advice.
  5. When I loaded the page and saw those pictures, I said to myself "fuck." That box is serious,--no fucking around.

Have you seen Doubletwist? Perhaps that would work in lieu.
  7. How are they currently installed? In the door panels? Any sound deadening? If they are mounted on the sheet metal, you could try covering up any large holes/voids to reduce cancellation. This would improve midbass.

Everyone's ordering stereo shit all of a sudden-for dem boats.

I cross my sub @50hz and it is steller sounding at any level. That's where mine is, crossed as low at the ms8 allows, otherwise I'd try lower! Definitely like it crossed low, impact without "muddying up" the front stage.
  16. Happy Birthday Steve!

    Sweet.

It's funny how I've had the subwoofer level down all the way for the longest time, then turned it up some for Primus, Tool, Les Claypool. Oh Yeah! Another goofy thing with the ms8, the subwoofer level attenuates on the whole overall signal, not just the subwoofer channel. So with the subwoofer level raised, more midbass.

What about using some cheap EQ, like: http://www.sonicelec...oss-EQ1208.html Accepts front channels and rear channels, has master volume. Assuming the EQ shit can be defeated.

Fuck. Just realized I jumped the gun. I need a quad pot, not a stereo pot. No wonder I didn't find those. Something for pro audio balanced signals would work as by default that's a quad pot. Glad I didn't hit order yet. Not sure where my brain is tonight....perhaps the crying scared of thunder 3 year old has me distracted. I figured you would use two, but then again I'm not entirely sure how everything is being setup. Having Left and Right on two different knobs or tweeters and mids on two different isn't so appealing. Lately both UPS & FedEx have been dropping off packages, but not ringing the door bell. I sit here waiting for it to ring, then later casually refresh the tracking page, and wahlah! "Delivered." Got my shit all setup, seems pretty sturdy, and can't complain for $99.00

Haven't used either, but these look promising: http://www.allspectrum.com/store/enclosures-project-cases-c-105.html http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store/category/490/Project-Boxes/1.html Might also try searching on instructables, MAKE, (diy sites) to see where others are ordering.

I searched rca volume control and rca attenuator. Sometimes the simple stuff is overlooked. I know PAC makes a few like the one I posted, a bit more, but if the cheapies work...
