They aren't going to fit in your doors or a-pillars... So where do you suggest I mount them? dont they install most horns below the dash I've seen them right under the dash / map pocket area. I've even seen them mounted in the far corner of the dash, had the motor tucking under the dash, and had the "horn" parallel to the a-pillars. Aside from the latter not being feasible in all situations, I'm not sure how it sounded either.

    Sounds like a good trip.
  3. I beleve it is simply shaking my vision too.. OK next time your driving play a song with a high frequency and look at peoples rims as they drive by. Hopefully you will see what i see. Instead of seeing a blurr when you look at rims driving by, you can see the spoke of the rim and threw the rim. It is very odd. I have had a system in my vehicle for 5 years and have never seen this effect. Also the system i currently have is not very loud, two mismatched 10s in a good box on proper power but the effect still happens. You don't need much bass just the right frequency and rpm of the rim. Its not the weed cause i would be able to see this all the time only happens on songs with high frequency bass in them.. What do you consider "high frequency" bass?
  4. If your playing bass, and it's loud enough, I believe it's simply shaking your eye balls, and blurring vision. I don't see how a "high frequency", or any frequency sound wave could improve vision in a way that allows you to pick up and focus on individual spokes on a moving car. Perhaps the weed is slowing everything down for you?

PE isn't loading, must be suffering a DDoS from so many people trying to get those TBs. I'll look in the morning. Just bought a new alternator (stock is failing), and have some maintenance things to do on the car. After some time, surprisingly I found that I liked the xo point between the L4s and hds tweeters very high. Then found I liked a shallow slope. Then after being 100% sure the shallow slope overall sounded way better to me, I dropped the xo point lower and lower to around 3k, and now I'm very content. Also dropped the xo point between the icon and ex-anarchies to 50hz, which I originally didn't want due to the ease of over-excursion on the ex-anarchies, but now the bass adds the "impact" to the sound without any muddiness. I also eq'd the 50hz-80hz area down a little to help the ex-anarchies out. If the stupid fucking ms8 would allow a lower xo point, and I could get my ex-anarchies in sealed pods, then I would be fucking ecstatic. I've seen a few used bit ones for sale, wouldn't cost much after selling the ms8, but I don't feel like fucking around with this shit for a while. PE seems to load now!

Has the dragon been out of order for a while collecting dust? Looks cool.

I can't take that pic seriously.
  9. Have you read of others being able to use them full-range? Of course on on-axis. On the other hand, I would definitely wonder how a mid, tweeter, mid arrangement in a car would do.

All I know is your all fucking dumb, and if your report my post to authorities in AZ, I could be charged for committing a crime.

The widest one, and you don't eat with it. Is it under rated? Highly.

Ones that vibrate work better. Insert brushy side into your hole.

5" for port width of a square port? So 5" x 5"? Or 5" width, and 22" long / high, so 5" x 22"? If the latter then I don't understand how that "rule of thumb" works, 22" x 5" is the same as 5" x 22", but one would require 5" of space and the other 22" of space?

What were we talking about again?

It was nothing, I took care of it, everything all ironed out from that one topic. Yeah thankfully.

Where does it hurt? What kind of seat, too.
  24. I'm tuned to 38 with 5.x per 18 and I have bottom end.... even when the drivers are still stiff... Key word: lose.
  25. So I guess the only thing the top will really help do is block the sound coming out of my jeep?.... And that will suck if the CLD fails and peels off... I was hoping that it would not get as hot as most vehicals since the top is fiberglass and not sheet metal but I guess I'll find out this summer. Could you give me any tips for doing my floor, body, and doors? My main goal is stop road noise, and be able to block the sound from the inside would be nice to.... could play my highs a little louder and not have to worry about annoying other people. CLD over large sheet metal sections, approx 25% coverage will reduce the panel resonance. This will work over body, floor, and door panels. (If the metal panel is curved, ie: fender well, it may not need any clds because the shape will strengthen the metal and change it's resonance.) MLV over entire area to create a sound barrier. CCF between mlv and plastic panels so they don't rattle against each other. I don't have any pictures of when I applied the cld and ccf, but here's an idea of what the mlv for the door may look like: Also another mentioned checking out the sds Mazda build. It has tons of pictures on doing everything.
