Welcome to the IHoP
Thanks. You doing anything with your newly acquired Xcon? The enclosure design is still under construction, I'll make a thread when it's time I'll be sending you a present soon, we'll call it a Christmas present Look forward to the out come as it is a nutty 10". Thank you, but אני לא לחגוג את חג המולד. חנוכה להציג במקום, אולי? "Happy Hanukkah" or "I'm Jewish" would be my guessing translation.

Charging XS Power Batteries
I think they come precharged and say they don't need it, but if they do need to be charged they say to use a agm type charger. But, I'm not sure what's so special about a agm charger vs a normal charger, verse an alternator charging it. When I got my xs power batt, I just threw it on our regular everyday charger. I would use the lowest amperage setting, takes longer to charge, but it's better.

Actually get work done? J Yeah actually. I still need to write two papers and study for calc, all due on tuesday. Surprisingly I'm not worried about calc but having major writers block, tomorrow morning I'm gonna sit down and just fucking get it done. Or that's the plan.

Welcome to the IHoP
I do it when I'm certain of their name, sometimes I forget and get names mixed up so then I just refer to their username. I always laugh when people misspell my name considering it's right there on the screen. (especially in emails).

Which Fi sub for Home Theater??
I just wondered, since I like to respect others, but also enjoy loud listening volumes at time, thankfully that's easy to do in a car 80% of the time.

Which Fi sub for Home Theater??
I've had 6 ported 15in subs at one point in my room. They had plenty of output but just didnt have the presence my dual 18's do. I'm curious as I've never been in a big HT setup, can you hear it or feel it outside your house? Just curious if it presents any problems with neighbors, or if pretty much just stays inside the house. Sorry for going off topic.

Welcome to the IHoP
That's what I'm hoping for. After describing the even to the shop there thinking something along those lines, hopefully it's under $700.00 and not a few g for a tranny.

I thought the V40 is FWD.... What are the symptoms ? Err it is, so no driveshaft then, shows how much I know about the mechanics of a vehicle Made a fast turn and during acceleration there was a clunk sound and the engine revs up like its in neutral. I pulled over, put it in park but the car kept rolling, so its not engaging? Your tranny is toast or there is an electrical issue. No idea what all is electrically controlled in that. I knew what you meant by driveshaft. I also knew what he meant, just that I don't refer to driveshafts in singular when it comes to FWD You could have damaged a CV....turn the wheels and look there for something out of place. Yes, but that wouldn't affect his parking nor his issue with throttle input and no forward response. Of course he could have snapped both axles but that's unlikely unless he is not being honest about his driving. I was cornering hard and during acceleration there was intermittent traction. Caught some traction heard clunk, let off throttle, came out of turn, gave it some gas and rpms went up, but car did not accelerate (coasting slower and slower). I put it in neutral and coasted to side of the road, once completely stopped I put it in park, left off brake and the car started to roll forward so I put the emergency brake on. The car is low to the ground so I can't see much under it, but I could see a small puddle of oil near the passenger side (around the cv joint / axle area). Steering seems to be fine, but I only made a slight turn to get off the road, not a U-turn. Tow truck picked it up and it's going to the local volvo repair shop.

Sitting on the side of the road. Guess I could be productive and do some studying.

Just fucked something up on the Volvo, thinking its the driveshaft or transmission, ugh!

Sooo.. I got a gift and it's almost here
ok... Well either way, I'm not gonna be seeing 14v at idle it seems.... I'm gonna redo the grounds again... What should I put on the connections in the engine bay to help from corrosion? electric grease or something like that?? You can use dielectric grease. Good grounds is good, but wont solve your problem if that's your reasoning.

Second Skin vs Sound Deadener Showdown
The owner of Sound Deadener Showdown is often times on the ssa forum, he goes by the username rudeboy. He is extremely knowledgeable and won't sell you more product then you need. In my opinion Second Skin is just overpriced. I've used all the products from SDS and loved them. I've used some of damplifier pro from Second Skin and it was much thinner then the cld tiles from SDS. Just my two cents.

Which Fi sub for Home Theater??
Check out the Q model for a sealed or ported enclosure. IB for infinite baffle setup. Also I think there starting up their home audio section, I think its called blue print audio.
