  1. I would post them, but perhaps he's waiting to do it all at once.
  2. OEM speakers are tailored to work well in their environment, not sure what advantages you would gain by running them active.Better control over what is sent to them. They instantly sounded better as soon as I put my radio in. Then switching to Active made it even better. I understand a better head unit, amplifier, but what crossover changes and slopes have you made, and how did you come to them, trial and error? I've done a similar application and haven't had any issues--yet. You could look into a battery isolator too.

    Ah ha, that's it.
  5. not sure what good it would have done if he would have.. i have no clue what would be good/great and would would be poor/shit Internals will affect efficiency and longevity, soldering may not stand up well against high amperage, and depending on how its wired delta, wye, will effect idle output and max output. Hope it works.

Looked, couldn't find it. I can't remember if it was on here, smd, or a euro site, but last time I saw it it was like eight months ago.

I can't remember for the life of me, but somewhere I saw a pretty sweet build in one of those, guy was somewhere in Europe. I'll look for it.

Sweet Teo. What's the starting todo list?
  9. Almost sounds too good to be true? Did he say what internals he uses? Does he solder the diodes in the rectifier?
  10. Nice and clean, I like it.

Yeah went up about two weeks ago. Luckily I ordered everything I needed right before it happened.

You could use industrial velcro and just mount the relay on one of the sides of the center console.

OH THE BOX THEY SENT IT TO U IN WITH THE FOAM PROTECTION SO YOU NEED ANOTHER CARDBOARD BOX THEY USED TO SHIP YOUR BTL IN? YOU LOST/THREW YOURS AWAY AND NOW YOU WANT TO SELL IT / SHIP IT SOMEWHERE? THE FOAM PROTECTION IS AWESOME, PROTECTS THE LOUDSPEAKER FROM GETTING BROKEN. GOOD LUCK MAN.

I'm not sure what your trying to ask. Fi doesn't build or supply enclosures, but they do have general guidelines and cutout sheets:

Yesterday evening I was working in the driveway, had shit laid for everywhere, one minute it's light, another it's dark and I'm scrambling to put everything away.
  17. Appreciate it. I wanna say it took around 16 hours split between three days. Table saw, jigsaw, dremel, clamps, wood glue, spray adhesive, and a few other small things here and there. I think the table saw is what I really couldn't get my hands on. I didn't have one for a while and couldn't make straight cuts with the jigsaw, totally sucked if I tried making an enclosure. Finally got a tablesaw a while back, this is first time I actually used it for something.

  20. I wasn't done wrapping the top panel and painting everything. Now the amps are installed and the battery is wired up. I hate working with vinyl, I hate wrapping. I don't need lots of room and even with an 18" I'll still have plenty of room and maintain some excessive output when it is desired. I am going sealed after all. Wrapping the flat top panel is simple, until you get to the edges and curves then shit gets bad.
  21. Then check sonicelectronix and your local craigslist for deals on alpine, kicker, polk, infinity, jbl, jl, hertz, eclipse, and I'm sure you'll be happy. There are plenty of brand name amps that are great.
  22. You can always remove MLV and CCF relatively easily, I would cover up the large openings. CLDs are great for controlling sheet metal resonance, but may be hard to remove when the time comes. Check out Don's products at http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/ He has everything you need, how to apply it, and will help with how much product you need.

It's going to be around ~0.27cuft Being off by 0.05cuft isn't going to make any detrimental effect.
