  1. I have one for their office in virginia?
  2. Lol it's not worth it right? Just something I was thinking about.. But I don't think that's gonna stop my cousin lol. I don't know how it would sound in the vehicle. Your going to be wiring it into an dc to ac converter and having to plug and unplug it when you get in the car? Sure a dc to ac converter is cheaper then a entry level car audio driver and amp, but I don't think you guys are going to like the end result. Keep the HT setup in the house or sell it, get an entry level amp and driver, build a box, and call it a day.
  3. One word: ghetto. Wasting your time.

As long as you have a good bit of cash you can get anything made and imported from china these days.
  7. For setting the gain? If you plan on using the bass level on the headunit then set it to max, set your volume to max listening, turn up your gain on the amp until it distorts then back off. Generally the bass level adjusts non-subwoofer frequencies too. Is this amp for your subwoofers? Does your head unit have a setting for just subwoofers?
  8. Happy birthday man!

Few years ago in "computer class" I reformatted one of the computers and installed ubuntu, setup apache webserver, and created a webuser registration app. That way all the kids in the class could actually deal with uploading files to a server, and actually be able to test out their server side scripts. Class was a complete joke, any way, the IT had to come in and verify that the computer was safe to be on their network. He walked in, looked at the screen and said "so that's linux?"..."Okay" and that was it. And then I did a MITM attack until the network crashed. High School days...
  11. Then some setting needs to be changed on the headunit or the rcas are plugged in wrong inputs, or the rca inputs on the headunit are bad.
  12. Does the light on the amp come on? You can use a rca to 3.5mm adapter and hook up the rcas to an ipod and then you'd know if it's the signal.

Where'd you go? Hell...err, Lubbock Sister was having a kid, then she wasn't, then she finally did. Helluva two weeks I tells ya... Ah, sounds like you had a blast. When I wasn't being broiled alive, sure. Wichita Falls, Childress and DFW seemed to get the brunt of the heat though, with afternoon highs ~110, compared to our 100-105. I lived it Wishittytall Falls for 6 months, i fucking hated it I HATE THAT PLACE WITH ALL MY HEART. OIJUJDSJGAERIH LOL.

It finally started to cool off here, finally was able to start fiberglassing out in the garage this past week, mid 90s

On to other news, my moonroof decided to break AFTER I opened it. Not sure if the motor is bad or it's jammed on the tracks. Checked the button and the motor's getting power and tried manually closing it but the nut wouldn't turn. Looks like I gotta pull my headliner down, ...

I remember reading on c a, one box wasn't painted, another whose baffle was loose, another where the speaker terminal wasn't flush and was held on by two screws, some of the stuff was absolutely ridiculous. Perhaps his skills have gotten better I'm sure I'm opening up a can of worms, but it's the IHOP so it won't get too much attention Kevin used to use the screenname Lambo911 on ca, the infamous thread was titled "$75 Flat Fee, Sealed Enclosures" He even used other people's work and called it his own, even used Pound That Sound from right here I guess I've made my point by now LOL. Hopefully this doesn't start anything. I'd just like people to be well informed before they spend their money.

LMAO, he PMed you. I knew he was a skar nut huger, I just couldn't let the guy wanting to buy subs think they were as good as the ICON. Using both, the Skar has no place being offered to someone wanting the Icon. Yep lol. I've owned the icons, they were awesome. Never used the skars but have read/heard their somewhat similar to sa12s? (could be complete bs). Either way I would never use any skar products solely because the owner has questionable business practices. But even that opinion pulled aside, I can't imagine that driver in it's price point performing up to par with an icon. And that guy is a huge ignorant tool. Agreed, I'm surprised I haven't gotten a nasty pm, he keeps trying to steer these newcomers the wrong way. Don't get me wrong, the VVX is a nice driver, not on par with the Icon though. I'm just trying to point out to folks that the enclosures are total crap. I made a lil video but my camera died before I could upload it so it will have to wait until tonight or tomorrow. He must have gotten some free product or something to be swinging like he is. I doubt he got anything for free, he's just a massive nuthugging idiot. Kevin sold cheap enclosures on c a a while back, they were absolute shit.

I love how someone here on the forum tries to compare skar drivers to the ssa icons, then when I say the only thing they have in common is their the same diameter, they pm me saying "fuck you and your shitty icons". Amazing how people can get so defensive over product, have to nut hug the shit out of something, and if you disagree they go ballistic. 97t5wagon needs to go to smd...
