Did you already have crossovers for them? I can't imagine they came with crossovers for 13 bucks.
  2. Could you bolt down steel plates to the wood Then use your adhesive for steel to steel

    Precisely
  4. Or drop it =/ I'm not really looking forward to seeing how much my backend of the car sags... can you say new springs?
  5. Go to the tech tab at the top of the website. The tech section has recommended enclosures for each subwoofer. I would recommend a ported enclosure for your 12" Icon. Make sure you have google sketchup downloaded so you can open the file. If I had to pick between those two amplifiers I would go with the Audioque. Thanks for the help No problem if you go to the Team SSA section and look through my build log (2003 Dodge Durango), you will see I did a box for a single 12" Icon. Its in the first few pages. The specs are close to recommended. Do your seats fold down at all? Yea they fold down I think you should deaden your trunk, a lot. Then use a sealed enclosure, and fire directly into the rear seats, preferably leave about an inch between the driver and the seat. That works best in your scenario.
  6. Thanks man, I will deff make a vid of the box going into the car when it gets here but ill have to have my brother come and help me out with that, ill see about getting a vid of my brother rolling up in my car when its all done and playing so i can show the wheels choppin and some flex. Sounds like a plan I remember watching the video BanginGMC had, like three people struggling to put his box in the back of his cab

Overkill on the tweeters but not the mids... I just put in two cadence 5.25" components with tweets and two 8" mids along with two Dayton 2.5" pillar speakers and infinity kappa 6x9s in the rear deck and I still need more mids. I AM A get four or eight 4" Dayton mids from parts-express for like $15 each, hopefully that does the trick. It's just a test fit for the doors/tweet locations, panels are still rough, and the sub is OFF Check out those Dayton speakers for some quality inexpensive mids, they have all sorts of sizes and alignments... no coaxial bs either. Assorted crossovers to match. go easy on the tweeters: two supers tops. I agree with mids, I've actually toyed with the idea of doing a couple 8s or 6s in my doors, but can't fit'm all Oh and, got a link to the dayton mids and crossovers? Okay I see these: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-328 and below they show their 80hz hpf, what about lpf?
  10. It's okay, we can see it
  11. Gah, I'm late, Happy Birthday man!

Don't <-----Is in mad need of more bass I'm about ready to free air em....I bet they'd still play lower than these old ass pioneers Free air will yield nothing pleasant, cancellation will occur and leave you with virtually no output to speak of.
  13. That isn't SQ and it isn't cool. Being a social menace is not acceptable. Never noticed that quote, glad I never offered any advice...
  14. That was fast, but keep all this stuff saved on your comp And you know you wanna play...
  15. Tiger GBA is pretty sweet, lets me play pokemon, great way to kill time in waiting rooms
  16. I also had a bl on a saz1500d for a while, and in a big box too, never had any issues. If your amp settings are correct, ssf, gain, etc, then you shouldn't have any issues.
  17. That's so ridiculious
  18. This is such a sick build. Did you do any metering with the 3500s?
  19. I like your thinking I'm not sure if this is legal or what in your state, but in AZ, you can go to an eye doctor and they can give you some form of permission to get your front windshield tinted, and if you get pulled over you just show them and they leave you alone.
  20. Sweet. Curious to see what you worked on. Well worth the wait.
  21. Digging the dowels and little step for aeros, are you planning on carpeting the box? Reason I ask is, it may be easier to carpet then put ports over?
  22. so clean, love it. Getting ancy

Okay? Given appropriate enclosure volumes for each, the 18" bl will most likely be louder, if that's what you were wondering?
