Upgrade your midbass and lower the lpf on the xcon to 50-60hz, you'll thank me later. Edit: before changing front stage, deaden the doors like you were planning then reevaluate. Once I deadened mine midbass was greatly improved.

I wouldn't mind a few for chemistry. It's much better geared towards the high density that will be needed in that kind of application. I don't know but it might be scratching at the physical bandwidth of that slot. It's got to be around 9 flops man. I still have to wait until Gaussian releases a GPU version, or get access to NIH's biowulf cluster. It would be sweet to bring calculation times down from weeks to days or hours.

That seems crazy to me. These are the by far best pens I have used including high dollar pens and I hate spending the money on these. I buy a 4 pack about once every couple months http://www.staples.com/uni-ball-207-Impact-Gel-Pens-Bold-Point-Black-Dozen/product_405085 I spend a lot of time writing, so I figure a little investment in a fountain pen might give my hand a break. You can refill them or buy cartridges so the cost isn't much overall, but I've never tried any so I don't know what to look for.

Anyone have any recommendations on cheap pens (<$35)? I don't have giant hands so it shouldn't be uber wide.
