  1. Picked up the Dcon for a good price.
  2. Box is a prefab made for my specific vehicle to allow me to keep the room in my hatch area. Driver hole size is 9 3/16,but I could always make it a little wider if needed. That FI X looks like a very nice sub, nice price too. They have a configure option that says "BP" yes or now. What is that option? Would they perform about the same? I can get that Dcon for a good price from a board member. Just wondering if the FI would do better? The specs looks like it would.
  3. Box is small,.6-.75 and is sealed.I know that it won't give out the sort of output like a ported would, but I don't have room for a huge box.Looking for a mix of loud and good sound if that is possible.600rms @2ohm on hand. $150 price, give or take a few bucks.Thinking I can get a decent used one.
  4. I like it.
  5. Buddy has one,he likes it.
  6. I know that it's not going to put out the kind of bass you can hear a mile away. That being said,I wouldn't mind turning it up at a stop light and impressing the car next to me. I wouldn't mind some sound quality at the same time. Not sure if I can have both though?
  7. Wow.The enclosure would be bigger. Is that going to be a big deal? Looks like a solid sub for the money. Are they geared towards more sq or spl? or both? Looks like the Dcon needs a little more space to be optimal, even though it has .75 listed.
  8. Looking for a 10" DVC 4ohm.The box has .75 cu ft and a mounting depth of around 8". Space is very limited and I can't get a bigger box unless I want to take up the whole rear, which I don't want to do. Everybody has Alpine Type-R subs around here and I would like to not go that route.I'm sure that their are some brands I'm not aware of that you guys do. I would say around $150 for the sub. Got 600rms @ 2ohm to give it.
  9. Thanks. From what I hear, the Alpine does a little over rated.I also like the small footprint. You just answered your own useless thread.. So useless that you had to make a comment? I wanted to get others opinions as to what they would recommend. Glad you contributed.
  10. Thanks. From what I hear, the Alpine does a little over rated.I also like the small footprint.
  11. I am looking at these there. All three are around the same price. Going to be pushing a Dcon 10 in a sealed box.Seems like they all get some decent ratings. Not sure If would really need the power of the Brutus for the Dcon though. 1.Hifonics BRZ1200.1D 2.Alpine MRP-M650 3.Alpine MRP-M500

Your dimensions are right at 2 cubes without displacements. Great.

Ok. I'll let my box builder know to give me 2cuft and tune it to 35HZ. Thanks for the help guys.

Ok,looks like a single SA-12 ported to say around 30HZ?

Yeah,I'm looking for Loud.No particular number in mind.I used to have a single ten inch in a stealth enclosure and it was pretty loud due to the way the hatch would make it sound louder. There's always some guys/gals that I run into at work that have systems they think is loud, there system is,but not that loud.Figure I would try to do something in my off time to show them what loud really is.I've wanted to try the SA-12,so I figure why not now.

The box has to be made to fit in the cubby hole in the rear. Here's the approx. box specs Width 37-1/4 Length 13-3/4 Depth 9-1/2"

Going to install a dual setup in my car during the winter months. The box has 1.17 cu ft. air space. and 8.5" depth. I can have a port put in if you guys think it would make a difference. Wanting to make sure everything is good before I start ordering stuff. Thanks
  19. Good. Got any input on the amp?
  20. Got a small stealth box I'm putting in my car and I need a sub for it. I believe the SA-10 would work, just want to make sure.I also need advice on which amp. Here's the box specs..... .6 cu ft space, sealed. Mounting depth of 8 inches.
  21. Yeah, thats the problem.I'm using a stealth box so I don't lose my t-top storage in my hatch. I could do a dual setup in the back, but I would lose my storage space for them.
  22. Oops.Sorry,I've double posted some how.Admin can you delete/
