  2. Tits McGee Indeed!!!!! NG
  3. I'd do the 8's in all honesty...most people don't understand how AMAZING these 8's are. Get 4 rl-i 8's...port them in 3 cubes NET @30-32hz and 1200-2000rms...and WOW...be prepared to be amazed! I owned an older style 8, with a similar motor...and it was WICKED. DO IT! NG
  4. yeah you can... and...yeah you can... Acer M5/M6 and M5ne/M6ne NG PS: I've heard LOTS of reliability problems with Toshiba, and witnessed it as well. My roommate has had WORLDS of problems with his Satellite series...overheating and more...
  5. Can I have the older proto...since it was scrapped? I'll buy it... NG
  6. mmmhmmm...12MT, quad triple stiff spiders... I'll take a pick of the magnum assembly I just got if you wanna see another example NG
  7. you really, um... cant do that. call the company of your subwoofer. ask them for a recone kit. remove the ENTIRE cone\surround\spider\coil and mount it on your wall somewhere. take the new 'moving assembly' wich is an ENTIRE replacement, and glue it where it should go (if you dont center that coil, youll have to buy another one. not a happy prospect... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly...I was surprised at how many knowledgeable people were looking at this and not telling him this yet...lol... So, as stated... YOU CAN'T just "replace the coil"... NG
  8. Oh....so you've switched camps now...and now you're an SS whore (nothing wrong...just making an observation...) You still = teh noobest NG
  9. They were $250 shipped from RE regular price. A lot of people picked them up not too long ago for like ~$180 in the roup buy... NG
  10. Long story...lol A guy on ca.com had them, but was tempted when som1 else had Koda8's for sale. SO, I paid for the koda 8's for him...and paid for shipping for me for the xxx6.5's. So, In the end...$175+ shipping... NG
  11. The rl-i kept up more than I thought...it's obviously efficient...and the box was made to the rl-i specs. The SI d2 came out on top tho slightly...even with onyl 250rms. -Noah

  13. Ok, I had about 4 paragraphs typed up then accidentally x-ed out of all my tabs on firefox...so here it goes again! Finally...my write-up is here...I've been busy and didn't get time to write anything WHILE the driver was still here. First, I'd like to thank Mr. Nick Lemons for the opportunity to demo such a unique and amazing driver. I was watching for UPS everyday when I heard the news the new SI d2 had been shipped out to me. I couldn't wait, when I received the package I immediately took it up to my dorm room and opened it. I stared googly-eyed at the beautiful woofer...picture do NOT do this subwoofer justice. The back-end is SO sexy...nice bumped back-plate...it's hot! So, I had to hear it. I swapped it out with my rl-i12 in the dorm audio system. Specs: -CSS 4.5" xbl^2 Full-range drivers, ported @70hz, powered by 100rms -Downfiring Subwoofer box, 3 cubes NET @22hz, 250+ rms via Rythmik Audio plate amp The SI d2 is amazingly musically accurate! I listened to a few Rock Albums including A perfect Circle and Sevendust! Dropped in some rap for the roommates, and the output with only 250 rms was crazy. Windows were shaking, dished rattling, and the balcony floor was vibrating. The SQ and output were great! Since my truck was out of commission (and has been for near 3 months...with transmission problems...LONG painful story)...I decided to demo the SI d2 in my GF's Jeep Grand Cherokee, swapped it out with her LI 12 System Specs: -Older Alpine CD Player -CDT Coax's front and rear -US Acoustics 4065 -JBL 600.1 -Subwoofer box, 2.3 cubes NET @32hz w/ 45in^2 of port Again, the output and accuracy was delightful. No matter what type of music I listened to it sounded amazing, no joke. It never missed a note, and the lows were GREAT and it definitely kicked you in the back. With only 600rms the output was surprising! I hopped out of the Jeep at one time and noticed the roof flexing near an inch, with one 12, 600rms, and the sub firing rearward! This driver is amazing, I've fallen in love again! BTW, my g/f loved it for the few days she had it! She even PWNED a few guys with two 12's ( I taught here well ) Those of you who had heard 1st gen Magnums ( I owned two 12's ported with 2400+ rms )...will be MORE than amazed with the new SI d2. It's easily up at the top of the list of TOP quality subwoofers! So, the driver is currently on the way to it's next destination (Jordan, in California!). I wish I could have kept it for a few days longer, it would have gotten on the meter! (TermLab at the Cincinnati Meet!). But, I politely obliged to getting things on the move...and thanked Nick for letting me demo the driver. Any questions or comments welcome! Enjoy! -Noah
  14. It's not in yet... STILL waiting on my truck to get done (transmission BULLchit...for the past THREE months...LONG story...) Believe me, I'll keep you guys updated NG
  15. Well, when Dustin (rangerman) had the claw baskets in his ranger...he used a PH-d2 on each one for competitions. Also, Nick used to talk about he plugged one into a wall socket right out of the box and it didn't phase the sub at all... NG EDIT: PS...they're AMAZING subs...tough choice...but for SPL I'd probably take the SX's...
  16. SOOOooo...what ARE you willing to part with? NG

(Still awaiting finish coat) Junk layin around And no...that's not my writing...came with it on there Later... NG
