  1. Any reason for running a 300amp fuse? Hope your wiring never grounds out.
  2. So it's a dual half ohm? Looks wired in series.
  3. That's pretty creative, I'll have to sketch something up and see how it looks on paper Thanks man! Naw, it's not loud Thanks! Haha, I had no idea you were so far away dude, I'm from Pennsylvana, anytime you would like a demo just hop on a plane Not much to update tonight but this 232 amps at idle, DC Power FTW!!! I hope that's while playing music and not stationary with nothing going on...if so that's not good.
  4. wtf is with all the dirty south rap SHIT? Yeah it has some good bass...but that's it. I havn't heard a single "dirty south" rap song with any sort of clever lyrics that tell any sort of story. It's all the same stupid shit.
  5. Sorry but the taste of crown definitely does not justify the price. IMO that is.
  6. I've never had problems. Flux the wire and the terminal and use pure silver solder. If you want it to look pretty, crimp it.
  7. That's also a cold solder joint, and not a good idea.
  8. If you know how to solder copper pipe, you'll have no problem wicking a large wire in a ring terminal.
  9. Hooked up the new amp, an alpine mrp-m2000. Amazing what rated power will do to the sound. Then we decided to rotate the box subs firing forward port up and it made a world of difference in the sound quality. Here's a pic of the temp setup without the endcaps on the amp. Shakes is gonna get carpet soon and do it all up fancy.
  10. At least 170 dee bees.
  11. Measure down the center of the port.
  12. Dash on a chevy truck is real easy.
  13. IIRC from another thread it was all sold off
  14. I see a nightshade not a z15
  15. Here's a vid for you.
  16. I know a guy locally, but who knows if he was serious about selling it. Damn those "cheater amps" are sweet.
  17. Yeah, their battery terminals seem to be made of a really cheap metal. So who knows. They sure look pretty though.
  18. Yeah I've also come to the conclusion that they suck. So what don't you guys like about them? Compression fitting? Or don't they tighten enough around the post? The compression fitting is poorly designed...seems you can't get it tight enough without potentially stripping the threads out. Then there's the allen screw to tighten to the post on the battery, and I noticed that on shakes deka it's somewhat loose at it's tightest setting.
  19. Interesting, what are the specs of that enclosure?
  20. Tis a joke, haha
  21. Yeah I've also come to the conclusion that they suck.
  22. I started on his amp rack out of boredom tonight, obv not near finished as it will be carpeted and shit. Once the new amp arrives it'll get the holes and such.
  23. They are getting broken in nicely. Did a mini hairtrick on shakes tonight, it was amusing. Should be interesting when he gets that alpine in and they get some power to them. Tomorrow we're gonna try and start on the rack for the amps and such, and tidy up a bunch of wiring. Already moved amp and no longer have wires through port (that was just temp anyways)
