  1. I dont really care for Jay-Z either but to say Beyonce is the only thing going for him is silly. The dude is super smart and has built himself to damn near a billionare. He can rap for sure, but I never have cared for it much

Finally getting some work done. Got the head unit in and door pods mocked up, amp installed, 1/0 guage ran, etc. I will fiberglass the pods tomorrow and start on the box this week. Still trying decide if I want to go seal 1cu or 1.8 ported. anyway
  3. I like the looks of the IA Judge
  4. LMAO no doubt, I was gonna say the only ones I ever messed with were Senchez's and they were not flexible at all. In a big SPL build I think they would be fine. But in a tight install they would suck
  5. I would be jumping on that IA 40.1 if I was in the market to spend 1k on a amp.
  6. If he is looking at a 10 then thats way too much. You must be talking about a 15.
  7. I like my Rockfords and Tsunami much better than the expensive Knu ones I had. They were so tight you almost need pliers for remove them, lol.
  8. After using the 80prs myself, if I ever go active again that is the only way I would ever want to do it. To be able to change things on the fly is huge IMO.
  9. Why did you get d2's? If you just ordered I would change it to D1's.
  10. do you have the auto or manual trans? Great job though, i bet with more seat time you could do even better.Auto, With Drag radials I could launch alittle harder maybe but I am happy with that time, to cut any kinda 1.7 60ft on street tires is pretty good. There was another auto sedan running 12.2's. I could try to go back in negative DA weather but next up is some mods first.
  11. Nope RWD on street tires
  12. Mission accomplished, haha 1st pass
  13. Last trip some asshole leaked all the way down track, waited 2 hrs to make one pass. Ran a 12.2 and drive home, hopefully today I can make several
  14. Headed to drag strip, see if I can get this stock wagon into the 11's
  15. If you don't seal completely off then just fire subs and port back. If the trunk is deadened well and rattle won't come into to factor rear firing can flat get down. Ask big John, haha

I have an idea, gonna try something when I get home in the search for big bass in this single cab. Gonna cross my fingers
  17. I would grab the IA amp while the sale is going on.

I went ahead and ordered the Sundown comps and a SD-12. Figured I would try them out, should be fine for this build.
  19. This would be a killer ride for demo / comp vehicle, nice C pillar wall would be different.

I wish I could find those JL C5 components like I did 6 months ago. They sounded incredible in that 55 Chevy I did the sealed kick pods in. I'm hoping I can find a similar sound. And those were even ran off the headunit.

I decided not to use the BC2000 for subs in this truck. I will just run the 4 channel and bridge 2 for the sub and the other can run a front set of components. Thats also the reason for going with the cheaper head unit. I will say for 120 bucks its hard to find a better one. Three 4v preouts, high and low pass filters, 5 band eq, etc. I put one in my brothers car and it is really nice for the money. I thought of running the mono amp and using a 4 channel to run active but I have thought over it and really I just want some sounds in it. I may do the bigger nice build in the wagon. Maybe a single X15 and nice active SQL type setup

Got my headunit ordered ( Pioneer DEH-X7500HD) great unit for the money btw 4 channel ( Incriminator 6.4 ) Now I just need to order sub and components. I have roughly 1.5cu to work with here. Looks like a single sealed 12 or two sealed 10's with shallow depth. Also looking at going with the Alpine Type R 6.5 components. They sounded good in another build I did. The JL's are becoming alittle more money that I want to spend. 200ish
  23. I would do battery first personally. That may be all you need, then of coarse get a alt because once the bug hits you will be buying bigger shit and so on and so on, lol

I do need a head unit, trying to decide if I want to spend the money and get another 80prs or stick with one of the cheaper ones. Doubt I will be doing a lot with the door panels. These are in extremely good shape as is the entire interior for something 34 yrs old. That would be fun but would hurt me down the road when I want to trade again. Looks like I need to snatch up a IA 4 channel while the prices are good. I assume they have good quality?

Thanks guys, keeping this budget to 1000 bucks. I already have a Die Hard plat group 31 going under hood, BC 2000 and all wiring and fuses I could ever need. So that leaves components, 2 channel amp for them, subs and head unit. Now I am considering doing 4 Sundown SD10's sealed and run them of the bc2000. I am limited to a shitty slim truck box. They are only 4.75 mounting depth so maybe this is my best choice. Would sound awesome on Rock but unsure about..... May even try out those sundown Sa6.5 components, alpine type R's or back to the JL C3 series that I know sound good. Decisions.
