  1. Awesome, Good job!!
  2. If you need any help with anything install wise or decide to try a different enclosure let me know and I'll be glad to help. I am local to you.
  3. Anything listed above will be good. This would be my choice on a tight budget if I were buying new http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_23549_Hifonics-Brutus-BRZ2100.1D.html
  4. I don't know how to get that unless I make the box 54in wide and port 10x30 holy chit!! 52 is about as wide as I can go. Leaves me about 4in on each side for amp placement
  5. Ok. If I go 52in wide and use 1in mdf, double baffle. Port 8in x 30in I get 16.5 cubes tuned to 30hz after displacement and bracing. Dimensions will be 32h x 52w x 27d.....240 sqin of port for 14.5 per cube. Might be on to something here...... Which sub fits this bill the best? SSD's? ICON,s?
  6. Low loud and clean Max dimensions are 32h x 50w x 27d, port will be either 5-6in wide tuning will be 30-33ish.... I will have to remove the door to get the enclosed in. Don't want to build in truck. I am in my truck alone 90% of the time, when we all go somewhere we take the Escalade.
  7. Thanks, if I go through the trouble of taking seats out then I will just do two 18's. Since these others are doing 4 15's I will try something different. Wish I had the space for 2 21's but I don't think 15-17 cubes is enough
  8. This may be a build log so no sense making multible threads. I am itching to do something different and go bigger. For those that dont know, I currently have a 15in Q on a SAZ1500v.2 in a box I designed and built that is a rear center console in my truck. It hammers the lows and the output is simply amazing for only one 15 here is my truck Here is the current full list Power and wiring Big 3 done and all 1/0 KNU OFC 2 Optima Red tops, gonna add a 3rd *Monster Cable... Slim battery terminals Stock alt (for now if it holds voltage up) *Tsunami main fuse holder up front and distribution fuse box for back. *Kicker ground block *KNU 10 gauge speaker wire for sub, 16 gauge for speakers RF rca's, etc Head Unit Alpine IVA-W200 NVE-N872A KCA-100BT Sub, box and amp *one 15in FI Q, cooling option and extra spider *3.65cu ported console box tuned to 29hz *Sundown SAZ 1500D v.2 Speakers and amp Rockford T-2652s Components up front Alpine Type R 5x7 rears Alpine PDX 4.150 (love this amp) Here is the current box 3.65 tuned at 29hz. Here is my current amp setup install and space to work with (maybe) Now here is what I am thinking so chime in with your suggestions as nothing is set in stone yet. Switching out the Q and buying a FI SP4 15 to go in my current box and either add another 1500v.2 or just buy a 3000d or something similar. I am not sure how much of an increase in output I will gain but the SP4 looks like it would work great with my current box and tuning. OR go big with alot of cone area. I have sorta been itching to take both rear seats out and doing two 18in SSD's in about 16 cu ft tuned to maybe 32 and running those both off of the 1500v.2. If down the road I want more output than that (I cant imagine so) I could just get a larger amp. I am not totally against other subs but I have been very impressed with my current FI so I dont hink I could go wrong there. Maybe some ICON 18's? If I do 18's I will add a second set of Components up front. Goals are low, loud, clear. Music is Rap and Rock
  9. I would try the Hifonics BRZ line. Great reviews and evryone that actually has one likes them.
  10. Tuned in! I am also switching to 2 SSD's and will be running mine of a saz1500 for the time being. Look forward to hearing how yours turns out
  11. well just 1 amp for all 4 subs ????? im not trying to be a dick here but thats like trying to fit 50 people in a mini van atleast you need 1 amp per sub
  12. I have to agree, I like a forum style way better. Now I just go look on the "other" boards. Sucks because I thought this as one of the better classifieds before.
  13. If so then I am better bridging the amp and not splitting RCA's. Didnt think of the voltage. hmmm maybe someone can answer that. I am running Rockford T2652s up front and would probably just add another set. I think by running splitters you will decrease the ohm load from 4 to 2ohms Do some research and you will find out splitters do not change the ohm load, only adding/deleting speakers can change ohm loads and wiring configurations. Please be advised with what your saying as other people read this thread for the same answers, we dont want any confusion or misinformation. Maybe he should be the one asking questions....LOL Here is my amp specs BTW. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6895_Alpine-PDX-4.150.html

  15. So bridge the amp on just the front RCA's or split the RCA's and use all 4 channels independently? I wonder which is most efficient or maybe it will not matter? It runs 4ohm bridged or unbridged.
  16. This possibly could be the dumbest question I have seen yet and I made the damn thread!! LOL
  17. I have a Sundown 1500v.2 on the sub RCA's. (didnt think that was relevant) I have a Alpine PDX 4.150 with the front RCA's on two channels to the front components and the rear RCA's on two channels for the rear coaxials. I want to run two sets of components up front. I did not think it was a good idea to run the rear RCA's for the second set of components. To use all 4 channels of this amp I have to run 2 sets of RCA's to it. Should I split the front RCA's coming from the head unit so I dont have a "rear" signal going to the second set of front components? http://www.sonicelec...cture_id=145065 EDIT, after looking at the pic of my amp I think I can switch it to run all on one set of RCA's. If so I should have done alittle more reasearch on my amp before asking. Maybe I made it more complicated than it needed to be.
  18. You can adjust that with your head unit. You must not understand my question at all. I'll give someone else a shot at it. Thanks
  19. I do have front, rear and sub rca's coming from the head unit. Both front and rears are going to the 4 channel currently, but I thought it would be better if all fronts were coming off the same signal? Maybe I am wrong, thats why I'm asking. Thanks
  20. I am thinking of going with 2 sets of components for my front stage and doing away with the rears.(maybe) I have a Alpine PDX 4.150 that does 150 x 4 rms to each channel. Right now I have the fronts on the front channel rca and the rears on the rear channel RCA's. So I do not mess with imaging too bad do I just run RCA Y spitters just on the front channel from the head unit so I can use all 4 channels of this amp? I need something to keep up with two 18's and I think my current front stage would but since my rears will blocked by the huge box I might as well double up front and use all 600 of this amp
  21. If set up correctly, you will be extremely pleased with that setup!
  22. Just get the cooling and extra spider if you want to upgrade it. I would at least run 4 gauge to the amp no less. Do not use 8 gauge 2.3 ported would sound great
  23. The Alpine TypeR is a decent coaxial that takes a lot of power. Before buying my components I ran the 5x7's all around and they sounded great. I still use one set for my rear fill. I would get the alpine 6x9's over RF. good luck
  24. well, it's pleather. I got it at Hobby Lobby ....6.99 pey yard. It was cheaper than box carpet. Lol thanks!!
  25. decided to cover it in leather instead, filled all holes and sanded entire box first. Turned out good I think. Looks killer in his trunk.
