I have it tuned to 34hz.

I have 2 rl-i 8's in my wifes car ported right now. She just did her second comp yesterday, and pulled a 139.6 on a TL mic sealed.

New numbers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went ahead and ported the box for her (I'll build another more proper ported box later). We went to a local show today and got metered. Her first run was a 137.2. I tweaked a few things, moved the box around, and we hit a 139.6 with the 2nd run. Amy Cano

I ported the box, and headed out to a local show today. First run was a 137.2. After that I tweaked the amp, and moved the box around for the second run. We came in second place with a 139.6. Keep in mind, this is with 2 Sound Splinters 8" & a Directed 1500D. Here's a pic (Amy Cano). I took this cause I couldn't stay for the cirts to be handed out.

Here's what it says on the site....... Optimal Car: 0.5 cu ft net volume sealed 0.3 cu ft net volume vented, Fb = 35 Hz Is this right, or should it be the other way around? I thought more space was needed per sub when doing a vented box? I may be wrong, but I thought I would ask. Since my wife sub box is 1.3 sealed currently, I could just use a 3" flared port with that same box, and be fine right?

I don't know where to get those plans from. It would be cool to do it though.

I think she may be. She started asking for ways to get "a little" louder, lol. She's running a factory deck, electrical, etc. It's her daily, and she wanted something simple. Now she's asking for more, lol.

Well I talked her into going with me, and entering her first comp today. Her setup is 2 RL-i 8" sealed (1.3cubes) with a Directed 1500D. A TL mic was used, sealed at the dash she put up a 135.8. She's now decided that she wants a ported box, lol.

I should probably add that i'll be useing an orion 2500d. So the single 18" will be getting around 1600-1800rms.
