Bowlegs water... I had a blast out there today, I'm glad the rain moved out around dawn and didn't affect the turnout too bad. I will be there much earlier next time, it took forever to get to the ticket booth this morning.

Good job, a 1st, 2nd and 3rd at your first event is nothing to scoff at. I also had technical difficulties in the lanes today at my first USACi show.

I was at Rave Sound in Shawnee working on my Bronco until 5:10, had to leave early when the storm that produced the tornado in Norman was expected to hit OBU (1/2 block away) at 5:30-5:35. Of course the rain is supposed to return in the morning, I hope it doesn't hurt the turnout at the show. The forecast last night said it's supposed to be cleared out before noon though.

Those old Talon/Eclipse/Lasers were certainly fun cars, especially in turbo and AWD configurations.

I've been busy with school lately. Haven't been online too much. It is back on the road.

I won't be driving it much this year so I will be doing plenty of maintenance and making some other changes.

Sounds like you had a good time out there. You might not have been the fastest but likely the loudest.

I'll be wearing my black SSA hat with the custom bill (dog got a hold of it) and my brother will probably be in his black SSA shirt.

Anyone going to be at Thunder Valley this Sunday? I will be going with several friends and family members, bringing 3-5 competing vehicles. If anyone is East of Norman/Noble and would like to meet up and get in on the convoy, let me know. Hope to see some folks from the forums up there.

Timing is everything as these blowouts usually last only a minute or two before allotted stock is depleted.

I do the same shit, I've had some that I kept about a year then sold 'em all off before I ever got around to installing any of them.

I drove it to school one day, parked it and went to class. Got out of class, jumped in and fired it up then I put it in gear and it didn't want to move while idling as usual so I gave it a bit of throttle and heard the old metal on metal symphony. I didn't want to risk tearing anything up and we have the old rollback, so I had my father in law come pick it up and take it to his shop. We unloaded it in the shop( weeks later) and put it up on the lift, started by spinning all four tires and the fourth one did not spin freely. Pulled the wheel and drum off and the damn brake was locked up. Then simply backed the brake off, put the drum and wheel back on, lowered it back to the ground and drove off. All in all, about an hour labor and no dollars.

It has been too long since I've updated this so I better find something to keep a wee bit of interest. The Bronco decided to leave me stranded for the first time a few weeks ago and we had to tow it out of the school parking lot. My father in law came through for me, picked it up and took it to his shop. Leaving the parking lot. Hauled off by a truck 50 years her senior. Made it to the shop where it sat for quite some time before we got around to putting it on the lift and tearing into it.

I'll shoot some pics for you tomorrow. Thanks, it does catch the eye a bit when the tailgate is down. That was the designer's idea, I would rather not even have it on there to be honest.
