  1. I know he would get though! Seriously though, I think a big ho alt in the 250-270 range and a couple of big batteries would be the best route.
  2. The M1b has a fuse rating of 160 amps vs the xta1500d's rating of 120. The DD is a bit smaller and does rated power at much lower voltage too. IDK if any of this matters to you or not
  3. Have you thought about running dual alts?
  4. to SSA
  5. Pretty much, your vehicle uses a good bit already and you're going to put an extra 230amp + load on the electrical system.
  6. X2 these are the ones I was referring to. http://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-D26451K-5-Inch-Random-Sander/dp/B0007XXHGO/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1309109790&sr=1-1 http://www.amazon.com/Milwaukee-6021-21-Random-Sander-collection/dp/B0012RWCF6/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1309109975&sr=1-1 for a bit more you can have variable speed, which is nice
  7. I think either of those two you linked to would be good 1/4 sheet sanders. The Milwaukee is more powerful and has a longer warranty but DeWalt tools always perform well. Tough choice if you're set on one of those two.
  8. Any good H.O alternator is going to cost you a few hundred dollhairs. You're probably going to spend around $900 or so on a good alt and a couple of batteries if you're buying new.
  9. Never "just run a seperate hot wire from your battery to a bolt on the alt". You must find the terminal stud on the back of the alternator, usually marked with a "B" or "Bat" and connect your wire to that and the battery +. I also simply add to the factory wires whenever possible in case I decide to go back to stock.
  10. You can pick up a nice 5" Dewalt or Milwaukee random orbital for about $60 shipped on Amazon, the Bosch and Makita are about $70. Any of these would be a good buy. Bosch has the weakest motor at 2.2 amps while the rest all sport 3 amps. I would probably go with the DeWalt or Milwaukee. I would stay away from Ryobi.
  11. Which one do you like better?

Cold beer sounds good right about now. I'm headed to the fridge.
  13. He wasn't ready bwahahahaha. Good stuff

Absolut would be my choice of the 3.
  15. Good job, keep it up.
  16. I have found that it's usually easier to just go pay a good, reputable shop to do it. If you have a friend or something do it and then there turns out to be a problem with it, there could be a hassle, argument or worse trying to get it redone. A reputable shop will usually fix any problems relating to workmanship or product free of charge.
  17. That Bullz Audio ought to be fine in a lower powered setup. It should hold ~200amps

Awesome! She must be one of those environmentalists, taking out gas guzzlers one at a time, another 20mph and she probably could have got the 2-for-1.

I've been drinking Vodka for a long time, it's my favorite spirit. I've tried all of these brands several times and these are my favorites, listed by price range. Cheap but decent brands (best of the bottom shelf): Smirnoff - USA Svedka - Sweden Moderately priced decent brands: Absolut - Sweden (still one of my favorites, thickens to a near-syrup consistency in the freezer) Ketel One - Netherlands (good vodka for the price) Reyka - Iceland Stolichnaya - Russia (classic 'Stoli', always popular and not too bad) Top shelf brands: Absolut Level - Sweden (Absolut's offering in the 'super-premium' category) Belvedere - Poland (one of my favorites, usually what I go for in this price range when I can't find Krolewska) Blavod - UK (Black vodka, not that good, listed here because it's black so it's kinda neat) Ciroc - France (they use grapes that are harvested when frozen to make this so-so spirit. I don't really like it, only listed it here because it is growing in popularity) Ed Hardy - France (grain, actually quite good and has a very nice bottle) Chopin - Poland (potato vodka, very good, takes 5 kilos of potatoes to make one bottle) Grey Goose - France (Wheat vodka, I personally don't think it's as good as most of the others in this price range and rarely buy it because of the price.) Krolewska - Poland (Rye vodka and my favorite, it doesn't get any better than this to me. Comes in a very nice bottle too) Pravda - Poland (sweet rye, this one is pretty good) Stoli Elit - Russia (Stolichnaya has it's own patented freeze-filtration technique to create this one) These are just what I can think of off the top of my head, I'm sure I'm leaving several out. Alot of these companies offer several different flavors and most are decent if you like flavored spirits. I'm not a big fan of them but when I do use them, I usually go for Stolichnaya or Absolut flavored vodkas. Jeremiah Weed Tea is pretty good with a little water or pour over ice. This is the Michael Phelps 'weed n water'.
  20. Very nice, great job on the enclosure.
  21. x2 I would try to get it up to at least 12 inches per foot.
  22. That happened to my last pickup, it was parked out on the street and this teenage girl planted a mustang in it.
