the vvx-10s are on preorder right now, 4 of 'em for $480 shipped, might wanna look into that if you're just looking to change things up and try something new on a budget.
I need to drop some fat mahself. Looking to lose a bunch of fat and gain a decent bit of muscle, all while dropping about 20lbs. 5'8" almost 210 right now, this is getting outta hand.
So sad, I hope they find the others alive.
How much more power are you looking for?

4 Skar vvx12s on that 2200d would be legit. My brother has 2 of them running at 4 ohms off a hifonics bxi1606d rated 550 rms @ 4ohm on all stock electrical and it's pretty loud already (for about 500 watts anyway), we're waiting on DC Power to build his alt then we'll see what they do at 1 ohm.
I researched for months before buying my subs.
To guesstimate, I usually just run a tape front bumper to back bumper and add a couple feet to compensate for the turns and such of your wires routing. 10-14 awg wire should be plenty for your subs(I use 12-14 for up to 1500 rms, it might support even more, idk), 14 is plenty for mids/highs unless you're running a shitload of power to them. I buy my speaker wire from monoprice.com
As long as I had plenty of room, most likely. It all depends on what you want out of this system. Do you care at all about cargo space? Are you planning on competing? Plan to upgrade later? What kind of music do you like to listen to? Are you wanting that "wow" factor when you show your friends? We need to know more about what you want before we can really give you some solid suggestions.

Nobody really knows if it will be louder but you will have a major cone area advantage. I would take the SSDs over the JL W3 series.
