I'm interested in why you went with the Q when you want to go loud. I've got a BTL, and its anything but a "fart cannon". Also, they have recommended box sizes on their website if you'd do a little research.

You would have to ask all of the former-owners of now defunct internet-based car audio businesses who proceed him A lot of them burned down in a blaze of ignorance and misdirection. Saw this a couple months ago, I understood it, but also thought the plot was pretty... odd? I wouldn't call it horrible. Mediocre maybe, but then again, I set my standards pretty low...

Thought it might be fun to share our stories of getting burnt by the PO-lice. I've been pretty clean since I've been an adult. When I was a juvenile, I got busted once for drinking vodka out of a water bottle at a high school football game. I know, stupid as hell, but I guess you live and learn. I would have never gotten caught if it hadn't been for some holier than thou narcs. For that little bit of fun, I ended up with my license suspended until after I was eighteen (this happened when I was fifteen, if I recall correctly). Secondly on my juvenile record, when I was sixteen I was out riding around on a Honda Z50 dirtbike, lolz. I could ride wheelies like a champ on that thing, which I later learned is a lot more difficult than doing them on a fullsize bike because of the narrow center of gravity. Anyways, I was riding around, minding my own business, haha, when who pulls up behind me but a black and white, lights flashing. Well, in my underdeveloped sixteen year old mind, I thought "I can sooo lose this guy!". I was wrong. The pursuit lasted around a half hour, and I took the cop through someones back yard coming out onto a dead end street, this is where I planned to lose him. I even got a great head start, since a buddy of mine was coming home from work, had just pulled in his driveway, and realizing what happened backed his truck back out as soon as I had passed. I was thinking "Hell yeah, some Smokey & The Bandit shit going down right here. I never thought the cop would be able to follow me the route I took, his car barely fit between the trees at the end of the dead end street. Scratched his car all to hell. At this point in the chase when I had a sizable lead on the cruiser with my comically small dirtbike, I had the perfect opportunity to ditch the 40 that I had in my sweatshirt pocket. Again, in my small juvenile mind, I thought with the lead I had, I was getting away, but he quickly closed the gap since the top speed of the tiny dirtbike is around 35 mph. :suicide-santa:After the chase continued on for a few more minutes, and he had closed the gap, this cop was literally trying to run me off the road! I wish I could have gotten the dash cam vids. He pulled up beside me and jerked the car in my direction, I'm guessing trying to scare me. So I started taking to peoples yards, haha. Well, after a few minutes of this, I was getting desperate. I went through someones backyard that was fenced in on the perimeter. I thought "I'll just toss the bike over the fence and lose him!". STUPIDEST IDEA EVER. With the adrenaline rush I had, I easily lifted the bike over the fence, but as I was jumping the fence, the cop grabbed me from behind and threw me on the ground. With his foot digging into the back of my neck, I was handcuffed and placed in the cop car. After a ride to juvie, I was picked up by my VERY pissed off father a few minutes later (oh the joys of being underage). That's probably my most exciting dealing with the law. I've got a couple more stories to tell, I'll save them for later. I've never been to jail in my life, and never had a felony, so I guess I've lucked out. Anyone else have any stories to share?

I've seen those on cops before, but around here, they don't use them. I've only had to ride in the back once though.

I used to have a P71 when I was in high school. One new years eve me and some friends had gotten a hotel together. Well, this one chick got sick as hell, so we were going to go to this gas station, like a mile away, right across the county line to get her some sprite and crackers. We were approaching the county line, and there is like five cops sitting there, lights flashing, ROAD BLOCK. I got within 200 feet of them and made a drunk ass U-turn (where I had to stop and reverse), and not one of them came after me. Must have thought I was a cop turning around at the county line. If I had been in anything other than a Crown Vic, I'd say our asses would have been in jail.

I'm not big on car audio stickers, seems like its just advertising to thieves. Only sticker on my truck is an Fi one, since I don't think that most people even know of them...

Does that mean you think its overpriced? As I said before, it seems like a bargain for that much power. I'm sure you would spend much more on the electrical to support it.

Man, for the price, if the thing actually performs, it seems like a bargain. To support that 2000 amp current draw though, you would have to have like at least four alternators, correct?

I don't see how it could move if its all glued and screwed. Could you elaborate?

Kerf cuts, like making a bunch of cuts and bending the wood? I'm wondering how you would make the angles at the corners of the port. I'm thinking this might be a little above my carpentry expertise, haha. I might get some quotes from some box builders, but I'm sure for something as big as I've got it would be big money, especially for shipping. I wish I could find somebody local that could do it.

I can't find anything bigger, and all I've got to work with right now is a cell phone cam, plus the fact I don't want to take my 70 pound sub out of the box to take pics, haha. My resolution is 1440x900. I've searched, but I can't find any really big BTL pics. If anyone else has any, please post them.

I recently found this box picture: I love how the port and the edges are rounded. I'm guessing that on the edges that they achieved that with a lot of sanding. I'm wondering how to shape the port like that. I'm considering remaking my box, to try to achieve something like this. It looks completely badass.

Makes me sad something like this is only used for political gain and not because it's a good rule. Personally I can easily see this turning into a slippery slope very quickly Yep. I'm of the same mind. Sex offenders are the scum of the earth and I don't want to see them get out any time soon, but the way they went around this it horrible. Doesn't help that with the laws currently on the books, you just have to be at the wrong place at the wrong time and its a sex crime Agreed. I would support a law to keep child molesters, PROVEN child molesters behind bars for a long, LONG, time. As it stands now though, in some states a 19 year old can be charged with rape for having sex with an 18 year old. Not to mention numerous cases of women crying rape when it was later proven it either didn't happen, or she admitted it was consensual.

I know most of you will probably frown on this, but I've NEVER had a wirenut fail in the mobile environment. I always tape them up to make sure nothing can poke inside and make connection, but they're a lot cheaper than terminal strips. I guess they are anyways, I always got them for free, haha.
