  1. i would be afraid of pushing an sae-1000 to hard i like to leave come headroom like i do with my dj equip i see he does have a refurb saz-1500 for about 390 shipped dont like the 6-7 day wait to ship time though after you pay- looks like i might be shopping around for a little while see what i can dig up
  2. whose got the refurbs ? i checked db-r and nothing in stock with sundown being under rated think i would be good with a 1200 ?
  3. i have the jl 12w3v2 a pair of them in a 3 cube box tuned to 34hz i took a banket and stuffed the one side full and mounted the sa-12 in the other side and as im still trying to be easy with it breaking it in properly its already hitting just as hard and sound quality is just about the same i love it and cant wait for the other to come then its going to be time for a new box and a bigger amp how does everyone feel about the ap18001d or the ap15001d ? or is there something else that will feed these guys the power they want for around the same price ? The audiopipes are very decent for the price and they actually do rated power but if you can afford it I'd go with a sundown saz-1500d. wish i could afford a sundown 1500 lol right now about the best i could do would be the audioque 1200 i have heard from many that those are a very respectable amp and i like the clip light feature as i dont need to blow my sundowns lol im just having a hard time parting with $300 over $150 for about the same power ?

  5. and another on the way !! took the jl's out blocked off one chamber and installed the sa she hits just has hard as both of the jls !!
  6. after doing this for about 3 hours the tapping noise from the first vid not sure what it was is almost completely gone very happy with this sub !!!
  7. well its in words can not say how happy i am with the quality of this sub !!! have it on my computer sub output free airing on about 25watts lol 40-20hz letting it slowly break in its vibrating my whole work bench !! "computer tech" and i am at work lol i went for 4ohm so when i get the other i can run 1ohm will be buying my other today or tomorrow i think this 1 will blow my 2 jl's away cant wait to see what it does with 2

  9. hard drive still spin up ? if it didn't physically damage the hdd it may have just corrupted the files

Actually it was the fuel pin and the governor spring More fuel there was no fuel pin on the 94+ models it was a fuel plate and the gov was the same only allowing it to rev i think 3,000. 96-98 the pump just had bigger veins i should no lol ive swapped the pumps on a couple motors my buddy collects the damn things has about 6 motors only the ve motors like my white truck has fuel pins and yes freezers are one of the tricks we use here to recover data from a failing drive !! Yours had a VE pump...hmm. Either way, 250hp and that much torque is awesome for such small mods. yes 89-93 was VE pump with stock 160hp and 170-180 for the 89-91 because they didnt have an intercooler so the compensated with larger injectors whats nice about the ve motors is it doesnt take much to raise the power u can gain about 80hp at the wheels just by turning a few screws but u can only go up to about 350-400 hp on the ve before u need to change to the bigger model thats custom made with the 94-98 trucks all you need to do is take out the fuel plate and you can have about 280 hp at the wheels

  12. only thing that made them more powerful was the veins in the pumps were a little bigger rest of the motor stayed the same
  13. pipes are on it for blacking out the 3 lanes of traffic at will and they sound great but everyone has there own opinion

Aren't those the years when they had the most powerful 5.9 12 valve ? 215HP and lots and lots of torque. not sure about displacement but yes still the 12v and mechanical cummins 89-2006 was 5.9 and then went to a 6.7 98 it went to 24 valve and in 03-04 ? it went to common rail i loved my 91.5 first year they came with intercooler i sold it no to long ago to start my dj business she was slightly modded with a 5spd turned up pump- dennyt fuel pin- 3200spring she was about 250hp and 5-600 ft pound torque and would rip the tires loose at 30mph was making 35+ psi boost when i sold her i miss her
