That's always been how I think. Just because an amp goes down further doesn't make it better for some reason. I'm in the process of looking a new amp for my dual .7 btl, and it's either going to do power at 2 ohm, or I'll get two smaller amps and strap them at 2 ohms.

Oh well it was a sad display if that amp was putting out that kind of power.

They had it at a 1/2 ohm because they thought they could get "4k" unclipped power out of it, but ended up getting the level 5's stinky as hell without even being that loud.

Yeah and fry every tinsel you hook it up to. Bad idea boss. Haha. I saw a 3kwp wired at .5 on really good electrical getting two dc lvl 5 12's stinky as hell.

I'd do a trunk wall with a 15". Seriously you can get way louder that way then having an 18" facing up in the trunk.

I just nutted a little. I'll be a 2nd gen BTL man for life though unless the n2 is that much lighter and performs the same or better..
