I and a friend (electrical engineer) are going to build an amp for a custom install. Anyone here done this? We are in need of some manufacturing parts. We need to find a generic amp case, dc/dc boost converter 12v to 40v 1000watts, and misc parts like terminal blocks and such. We can sacrafice on old US amps for parts but would love to build it with all new stuff! BTW its going to be a 150watt per channel x5 amp for in car theater!

Ok.. Here it is.. I guess Summit got to where THEY are for a reason! They are 50 times bigger the crutchfield. Trust me I an an hour away from both Crutchfield stores! BTW this is the unit you need! Same here.. but the LMT is still an attempt at a good SQ sub that will get loud. I think the Ti is all out SPL no?

So am amp that will go 4 ohm mono say.. would that effect it performance? Just bacause the amp has the tripath in it.. Very sensitive. I was told not to take it below 4 ohm. But I guess them mean no to take it down to 2ohm(nominal)? Thanks guys!

I spy a few of these on e-bay this morning! $175 each! I understand they are also a LMT design! Good price! I might pick one up and check it out! BTW anyone know why in the Book headings for Eclipse it say's a 4ohm SVC... In the specs it says 3ohms DCR(?) DRC(?)

Can we get some Specs JR? Or are these going to be RE with US amps lable?

We should start a Automotive only section. Someplace where people can post questions about there cars/trucks. I would say the Performance Section and a General repair section. I am a Medium duty diesel mechanic with Bosch certifications as well as ADS and ASE certs. I have a few other factory athorizations as well as a Automotive HVAC licence! I would love to help out by moderating the section. Mabe we can Subdivide for Domestic and Import? I think It would be a great Idea to have those people come over and mabe join in our chat also! People comment with out knowing the facts... You really think I would have said anything if I knew it was a secrete(published PUBLIC documents do not keep things secret!). I have not said anything about the Manufacturer which I was told was a SECRET! I just wanted people to talk about it! Tell your friends. Its good business for everyone. I run a business and I understand the penaltys of such infractions.. aka law suite for costing company profits ect.. Word to the wise. I would never screw anyone! Better yet if everyone would like to we can delete this post? Yes? Am I mad? Yes.. I do not like people questioning my integrity! I do enjoy a laugh though! Cant we all just get along???
