Hmm, not sure, but i don't see that it could be anything else. As for the eq points of 25 hz, 31 hz, etc, i believe those are there to reduce peaks in frequency response.

Subsonic filters are high-pass filters, so that knob on the bottom of the amp on the diagram labeled HIGH PASS is the SSF.
  3. XS Power, 'nuff said.
  4. There is probably a good reason why most higher-end companies don't make square subs.
  5. Wire to 0.25 for burps then you'll get your power from that amp. You could try it, not sure if the amp will go into protect or not though. Just don't keep it that way for daily, lol.
  6. Clamped power should be roughly the same if you're doing a test like this.
  7. Sundown 2500, AQ 2200, Crescendo 2000, DC 2k (assuming the subs are 1 ohm configuration)
  8. Happy bday man
  9. Are these still on their pre-order pricing? I didn't catch it to see what the deadline was.

Welcome to the forum fellow Minnesotan
  11. That's perfectly fine, since electricity takes the path of least resistance it will literally "choose" what ground is better! (I think)
  12. I vote SA-15... It's been shown to outperform the competition at it's price range!
  13. Not broken in, but it shouldn't make THAT big of a difference.
  14. You will lose low end by going sealed. What were you tuned at and how much port area did you have?
  15. Alright thanks. I need a 22" length to get the tuning i want with the 3", but precision port doesn't offer their kit to be that long, and they don't have any elbows or anything like that. I need to bend the port to get that length obviously, so where is the best place to get the stuff that i need?
  16. I'm planning out a box for my 8" Orphan driver. Using 3/4" mdf, outer dimensions are 12x12x15, driver displacement is approximately .15 ft3, and I am thinking of using a 2x9 inch flared aeroport to bring the box specs to 0.69 ft3 @ ~34 hz. Is this an adequate port? Or am i missing something? I'm pretty new to round ports, as I have built only slot ports. Any help is appreciated.
  17. You will NOT be disappointed if you purchase a Fi woofer I have a single BTL 12 in the trunk of my car, and it gets louder and lower than my two Kicker 12's did!
  18. Make sure your filters and gains are set correctly on the amp.
  19. I believe the N2 was made to replace the ufo style btl. The N3 was mainly made for burps, from what i have understood.
  20. x2, JB weld sounds like it would fit the bill and would be the easiest route.
  21. I listen to alot of music that makes women sound like an object that doesn't matter, and they make it sound like drugs are the norm for everyone to do. I treat women with respect (I've had my gf for 2 years), and i have never used drugs. Some people are just weak minded if they are influenced by things like that, or act like that because it's "cool". I think the mom over-reacted. A little ridiculous to send your kid to boarding school for that, and to take him away from what he loves to do. Plus he was good at it and was getting popular. Selfish move by the mother IMO.
  22. You probably won't even see 1200 after impedance rise, so go for it. Just be careful of clipping, as with any other sub/amp.

What kind of power did you have going to it? What's your electrical like?

Clipping probably caused the coil to be cooked. Where you from in MN?
  25. 60/40 rosin core is good enough, but the best conducting solder that i know of is silver bearing solder, which is like 4% sliver.
