This topic has been discussed some, you can probably find good advice using the search feature...However, some basic advice: 1. Get an alarm, wire speakers up inside the car so it's not pleasant inside the car while the alarm is going off. 2. Don't blast your stereo before you park or where you're going to be parked for awhile. 3. Hide as much equipment as possible (amps under seats, etc). Tint is a good idea although I've seen discussion that tint shows you have something to hide.. 4. Motion lights if you're parking your vehicle on your driveway might be a good idea. 5. Might sound paranoid...But make sure people aren't following you home. I've heard stories of such things.

Haters are going to hate...All of those rules seem very reasonable and are probably the main reason SSA isn't full of garbage posts...I notice sometimes people use the "forbidden" terms and there's some leniency. (As it should be..)

I'm not sure of the specifics but I believe the terminals are soldered on to the wires...You'd have to desolder them then solder new ones one.

I have an '06 tahoe and I am planning on running a saz-3500d @ 1.33ohms and a sax-125.2. I have $400 to put towards an alt today, this Saturday I'll have enough to purchase: 2000-2006 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban V8 AD 270 Amp XP series alternator That seems to be the highest rated alternator I can find. Am I better off waiting and getting that or do any of you guys know of anything cheaper but just as good?

Just curious what kind of power the subs will be receiving. They're rated for 600w RMS and I'm going to be running 6 of them...So they'll be under powered a bit @ 1.33ohms, no? Easier on the electrical is always good however.

Does anyone have any idea what the saz-3500d would put out watt wise at 1.33ohm while being fed 12v?

Amazon.com: Trans-Dapt 9323 Stainless Battery Tray: Automotive $50 on amazon..I'm going to call them tomorrow and figure out wtf to do with those side pieces. I went out and bought some j-style hold down rods... I'm thinking of using bolts + washers + nuts to secure them down..Self tapping screws would be easier, but they wouldn't be as secure..Right? Kind of clueless on this.

So I went under my truck to inspect what's near where I wanted to drill...Turns out the gas tank is right there. :| I found another place to locate them.. Still no idea what those clip looking things are for? I assume something to do with the hold down? Any ideas?

So I just received two of these: Trans Dapt Performance Products - Battery Trays Going to install them tonight however I'm wondering what those clips and second piece is? Also, I'm going to drill into the rear cargo area of my tahoe and bolt those trays down...How do I ensure I'm not drilling into something important? (On the bottom of the truck) Thanks
