I want to get metered.
Called some more shops a little out of the way and found one with a Audio Control...Not sure how good that meter is but it's better than nothing.

I want to get metered.
So I've called 6 shops in my area and none of them have a term lab or any sort of meter. I don't feel like shelling out $700+ for a term lab. Am I basically SOL?

Can someone give me the details on this song?
Trae - I want to get high So far it seems to be the hardest hitting song. It hits REAL HARD. My voltage actually drops below 13.8... I'm wondering what the bass Hz range is, and if there are any songs similar to it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D95U9jDg4uI Thanks.

Don't open the back tailgate\hatch?
So I was told not to open the back hatch\tailgate in my Tahoe while my subs are playing (in a ported enclosure)..Something about it bottoming them out? Is this true, and if so why do I see videos of people doing it to put paper or other items in front of their port?

Better output...Still not where I want it, I think I can do some more tweaking... I think that rearview is secured on there pretty well

Thinking of buying an oscope..
I said in the first post I'd like to use it to detect when my head unit sends a clipped signal, and also my amplifier..

Big 3 done wrong?
its insurance. the fuse is there just in case you get into a front end collision and the power wire gets pinched, which would short your battery and have the potential to turn a minor accident into a major fire and/or total loss Then why don't they come fused from the factory?

Thinking of buying an oscope..
SparkFun Electronics - DSO Nano - Pocket-Sized Digital Oscilloscope seems pretty decent, not sure if it covers the ranges needed to detect clipping from HU and also to set my gains properly...Any input? Thanks.

6 sa-10's - video
It barely dips too...With the stock alternator it'd drop down to 13.2 or so on some bass notes...Now it pretty much stays solid above 14 with this dc alt...I think I need to crank the gains a bit still and also let them break in a little before...
-
6 sa-10's - video
pretty sure the gain needs to be a tad higher and the subs need to break in more, not really getting the desired output... sorry about the poor quality.

Take responsibility when driving!
Note to self: watch out for grannies in the middle of the road. they make a mess of your windshield. don't check out the chick with the nice rack, you might hit a kid and a father.. thanks for the reminder! also, whenever I drive my main focus is not hitting anything and getting away from horrible drivers...some of the things on this video are straight up idiotic. side swiping pedestrians? rear ending a car at a stop sign? geeze.

Do you use a remote knob?

Help setting SSF properly on a saz 3500d..
That's what I keep reading but then some people are saying a tone at 1hz under tuning at full power could cause over excursion and all that nasty stuff? The subs are under powered so I would think it wouldn't matter anyway.. Would it beideal to get a 28hz test tone and setting it that way?
