is my ssf set right ?
my sub volume on my deck which is my sub control don't work no matter how low i turn it my bass wont go down at all.
-
is my ssf set right ?
Sub sonic has nothing to do with volume. the gain does that and all songs arent recorded the same. sorry for my poor english let me try and explain it in the best way i can think. i understand what a gain on a amp does and i understand what the ssf does as well. what i'm trying to explain is on some song's i listen to i have to listen to them at a low volume since they beat real hard when i say beat real hard i mean to where my subs's will move like crazy and you can start smelling the coils burn a little or you will hear the sub pop and was not sure if it might have to do with the way my ssf is set to or if this is normal.

is my ssf set right ?
hi guys i have a question my box is tune in-between 34-35hz and i have my ssf set to 29hz and no matter where i set my ssf to i can't listen to all my song's. It's like some song's hit to hard where i have to turn down my volume because my sub's would beat to hard for my subs to handle.

power but no sound
I fix the problem my main ground that bolts to the body was bad so i had to replace it.

power but no sound
well i found out what my problem is i am lacking voltage for both my amps. i ran a voltage test to both amp while the car was running and the music was on and they were reading 6.8v each so i went ahead and check my 2 blocks that i use for my power wires and ground wires and it was reading the same thing 6.8. so i went under my hood and took the + wire and hook it to my power wire that's connected to the battery and the - wire and ground it on the body of the car and got a 14.2v. well now that i know the problem has to do with not enough voltage going into my amp's what would i need to do next.

power but no sound
ok, DON'T PANIC!! hehe Lets just try some trouble shooting steps and see where we go from there. This is probably do to something very small. Ok, we may need some additional information from you, such as: Was your door speakers working prior to subwoofer installation. Have you checked your fuses, ALL fuses. I'm assuming 2 amps? Have you checked ALL RCAs, how many are you using? What are the make/model amps your using? Power with sound sounds to me like an wiring issue, plain and simple. I think there maybe a few loose RCA connection, or wiring isn't connected properly. What HU do you have? Some H/U's have the option to turn on/off the outpputs of those RCAs. Like a sub on/off. Also, prior to connecting your new subwoofer enclosure, was this high/mid amps connected and working properly? Have you disconnected the speaker wires from the cd player's harness? Also, on those amplifiers, check to see the status of the Master/Slave option if available. I think I've covered a lot of areas for you to check, if none of these get you going, then you might want to consider replacing your HU has you may have a unit with malfunctioning RCAs. Let us know what happens. Was your door speakers working prior to subwoofer installation. ( sorry don't understand this question are you asking if my door speakers work fine before all this happen ) Have you checked your fuses, ALL fuses. (yes i have i check the one under my hood and even on my sub amp my 4 channel amp is a old school rockford fosgate so it don't have fuses on the outside) What are the make/model amps your using? ( sub amp pyle plad3300d , channel rockford fosgate dsm 4040) What HU do you have? ( eclipise cd5030) Also, prior to connecting your new subwoofer enclosure, was this high/mid amps connected and working properly? (Yes) Have you disconnected the speaker wires from the cd player's harness? ( speaker wire's as in what sub or 4 channel amp)

power but no sound
Alright here the deal i just got my custom built box in today. so i go to hook it up after wiring my subs up to my new box to my amp and right when i turn on my car and my cd player i hear no bass or music coming from my door speakers. so i go to the back to check both my 4 channel amp and my sub amp and they both show power like nothing is wrong just no sound.
