  1. Thanks for all your help Eric, you even one upped the "know it alls" at O'reily's
  2. If the invoice is prior to the date that the 2yr warranties went into effect shouldn't you still be under the 1 yr warranty??? Does it have an adjustable voltage boost module harness? How do you know its not charging? It sucks when the weekend gets in the way of important things but give them a call today. They will help you. I looked at your alt pics and saw no AVBM harness. I hope its something simple. If your just getting a 13.8v charge the cars PCM could be controlling the alt but you are still getting pretty close to the alts rated output at X rpm's after warm up. Good luck. inkfx you can ask onebadmonte about how well my mechman holds up. My car might not be as brutal as his burban but he did see the stinger voltage meter on my dash holding 14v at idle at that audio express get together a few weekends back.
  3. youtube it seriously though check out youtube I'm sure a diehard already taped that on insane mode or something
  4. I like to do stuff!!!!
  5. NP just sent them. Let me know if you got them. Just an FYI maybe I had been under a rock but I can't stress enough to anyone PLEASE use blue loctite on all your nuts and bolts!
  6. I'll send pics your way through PM
  7. Well I bought this last tax season and after some growing pains with my car everything is still going good. I'm pushing a Crescendo 3500d and a Crescendo 1000c4 with a xspower S3400 under hood and a D1200 in the trunk. voltage at the front battery after a 20min drive on the highway is 14.6 driving and maybe 14.2 at idle. I set it like that maybe I can move it up a tad but I'm comfortable like this I really don't want to mess anything up. I'm saving pennies to change out the D1200 with a group 31 battery. Aside from that This mechman Alternator is solid and I am still happy I bought it. pay no attention to that little metal piece on adjustment screw thats gone now Fast forward to now. (flashlight light sucks sorry) Thanks again Mechman! I forgot to say what car I have, its a 1998 Hyundai Accent 1.5L manual. I wonder how many more of these have been done for my model car lol
  8. Yup , Eric putting in work over at mechman. good stuff you'll love it once everything set up.
  9. Didn't want to melt in the desert again.
  10. Sometimes I think I bugged them so much they said to hell with it and put one man alt up. They didn't have this last tax season lol. You never know these companies always working to fill in all the voids you just might see something before you know it. Heres my dream worth more than the car https://www.dcpowerinc.com/fit/1998~Hyundai~Accent~1.5L/11011-270-xp.html
  11. charge your batteries? The alt may be putting out proper voltage but your batteries are drained. You need to throw them on a AGM charger once in awile depending on how much you pound on your system.
  12. True thats what I was getting at when I said that. Thats bad ass in my book for it to be a direct bolt on. No real need to alter anything, and should fit OE location. I'm limited for my car so a single alt that is a beast is a must. Hell my audio worth more than my car! I said it along time ago even if I have a mechman alt I will be picking up a DC alt in the near future. For me that will be twice I drop $600+ on an alt but it ain't done overnight.
  13. So right now my amp gain set now I throw the knob that came with it do I turn knob all the way up before making connection to amp? This has always been floating around my head.
  14. But you still end up seeing people trying to cut corners trying to make something cheaper do what it wasn't made to do. Patience is a virtue and I have learned to save pennies even for what I want and I know works for car audio. If anything people shouldn't be surprised when things like this cave there wallets in lol. There's always something to sacrifice and if you don't mind not having great idle output that's cool, but that grand will get you at idle what most others will get you while driving. I'm glad to see this, it goes to show what great things are coming as HO alts evolve DC just happens to be ahead of the game and it doesn't come cheap. I'll look at at how you said more of a surprised reaction, as I myself have had those moments too. Mine was when I started my system ass backwards and didn't have the electrical to back it up. I recently seen what happens with a combination of that and other ill factors come into play at idle.
  15. http://tomcatbrand.com/product/6-ultra-1-oz-block-bait scatter a few blocks in car and they are done for. They carry it at wal mart and grocery stores.
  16. Funny how SOME people nag on a HO alt price tag. I understand things cost a lot in this hobby why wouldn't you expect the heart of your electrical to cost more than your stock alt that most times can't live at the power levels that higher end audio systems demand?
  17. Monte when you have time pass me the place you picked up those Deka's Yeah sorry about blowing up your PM's lol I'll keep my ears open for these get together's. Defiantly want to to learn from a pro. I felt like Neo in the matrix when they plug him in to learn kung fu. Poor little brain soaking all them DB'z in
  18. your joking in the title right? I been throwing this out across the interwebz... I had a chance to get a demo from montes burban and this system is a beast! front stage has the cleanest mids and highs and that warhorse giving those DD a beating. This dude is cool as well as everyone else he rolls with I had a good time Thanks monte and congrats on your win
  19. Your paying for the idle output also. It's doing at idle what the other models do at max then almost coming up on double the max of most other models at its max output. All that in a direct fit case
  20. From what I read Crescendo is in middle of a move. Your best bet is to shoot them your questions to there email. Call 941 257 4767 or [email protected] Also leave a message with call back info. Just going off internet opinions hifonics amps demand a bit more power to perform, sundown amps still require power but they go easier on your electrical. Think ahead at your system and build a strong foundation rooted with the right electrical is what you should be aiming at right now.
  21. I'm probably stupid but if he collects payment and money clears whats the problem shipping it to a US ADDRESS? Edit: yup I'm stupid
