  1. I am thinking the same thing More than likely caulk or silicone to seal the box. Hopefully it is not liquid nails (it kind of looks like it). My friend built a box with liquid nails (construction adhesive) and a week later the box started coming apart because the adhesive started cracking.
  2. Thanks Guys For all that racing I do with it. I was able to get a good deal on them and I thought they would look nice behind the big wheels. It works!!!! Thank You, your builds are awesome

  4. Looks pretty cool. I want to see more of your videos with special effects.
  5. Doesn't sound like it needs any special calculations.
  6. That box looks good. Love the double port. I want to see a video when its ready.
  7. Wow...just wow Can't wait to see numbers on these new BTLs
  8. Thanks Mark. Very excited. I love the new website by the way. When I first got on this morning I was like dammmmnnnn thats nice.
  9. I am finally starting my new build on my Dodge Durango. I almost have all the equipment in. Just waiting on the new battery and some wire. The ride: The wheels: Anella Diamond II Suv 22" My vehicle has a third row (I never use it) which I will be removing to create a false floor for battery and wire storage. Third row removed: There is a storage place in the back of the vehicle where my amps can fit perfectly into: Amps: MB Quart DSC 1500.1 MB Quart DSC 480.4 running Diamond D6 components right now until I purchase some Bravox components These amps have always worked well for me. They look nice next to each other because they are in the same case and are the same size. I am doing a single sub install and thought I would get the 2010 Icon. Thanks SSA for the awesome deal. 12" 2010 Icon D2 with aluminum coils: That is it for now I will post more pics as the build goes on.
  10. I love mine. I'm sure you will too. What are sub are you replacing with the icon?
  11. I'd say go for it. Especially when the icon is on sale right now. You can always buy a bigger amp later. Sealed would be great. Ported even better
  12. I think the pods look great! The color obviously does not match but eh its hard to match molded plastic when your dealing with wood. Again, great job
  13. Welcome from the west side.
  14. Yeah that is what I am used to building when my box would sit closer to the back. I am thinking now with it being right behind the 2nd row maybe sub up port up? or sub up port to the drivers side?
  15. Thanks guys. Before I start I need a little help on my sub box. I am removing my third row seat. I want to build my sub box and amp rack right behind my second row seats(because I do put stuff in my suv). The box will be a good distance away from the rear hatch. What sub/port placement would be the best for my situation? I have a 12" Fi BL(cooling option) powered by a MB Quart DSC1500.1 I want to build the box 2.5cuft with 32hz tuning. Thanks again, Sean
  16. I am in Kalamazoo.
  17. Newbie here saying hello from Michigan. I have been watching the SSA forum for a few months and have learned alot of new stuff just from reading. Car audio has been a hobby of mine since I could drive (only 7 years but hey). Soon I will be starting a new build on my 2003 Dodge Durango and thought it would a fun idea to post it here in the builds section. Thank You, Sean
