  1. Please message me price for two, thank you
  2. I would be interested in the other two if you do want to sell. Message me a price and hopefully we can work something out.
  3. Have you had a chance to listen to the Fi Mids yet? I have yet to hear a real review yet.
  4. I will for sure try the new tweeters, depending how far I get with the rest of the install by the time they come out they may be install first. The Evil 6.5's will be installed into the kicks. This car does not come with door speakers factory, I thought it would be easier to add woofers in the kick panels rather then in the doors.
  5. I'll take some when the Lisa arrives. For now, links: http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/us-acoustics-barbara-ann-400w-4-channel-amplifier.html http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/us-acoustics-lisa-4-x-50-watt-amplifier.html
  6. So amplifier changes have changed already. I had a US Acoustics Barbara Ann laying around. I am going to use it, I also just purchased a Lisa to pair with it.
  7. That specific one was on ebay for $189K, EVO II are really rare http://jalopnik.com/you-can-own-this-mercedes-190-2-5-16v-evolution-ii-for-1775715137 But they are period correct and came on all EVO II
  8. Come back to the dark side. Every time I sell one I always buy another.
  9. Yes he is able to come back in one week, next Monday.
  10. You have been able to get away with a lot over the past few months. This is not tolerated here. Come back in a week and hopefully contribute to the forum instead of incessantly arguing against everything Sean says.
  11. So crossovers aren't part of the install? You don't need to follow the "pack" here at SSA, you need to stop arguing with everything that Sean posts. Every time you argue you do not post valid points in opposition to his. I have learned a lot from Sean, as well others over the many years I have been on this forum. I will continue to do so, you many want to start.
  12. Yes really, please keep your closed-mindedness out of this thread.
  13. Here was my motivation to getting started on this build, SIS does so great work. http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/build-logs-project-install-gallery/296681-german-unicorn-87-190e-3-4-sq-build-morel-mosconi-arc-illusion-audio.html
  14. Awesome, thanks for sharing
  15. Thanks for the help everyone, nothing is set in stone for the equipment in this project. I am always up for trying new drivers and comparing against each other. Can you give me more install details? location of drivers, on/off axis, by how much? amplifier powering the tested drivers? do you have any install pictures? Again thanks for the input. Same here, as well as I have built plenty of small home listening setups for people with the Auras. Obviously home vs car audio is way different. How were the faitals mounted? Always good to hear from other experiences. I am surprised that you felt the auras needed to be paired with a tweeter. Possible to share some install pictures? Thanks again
  16. 1989, the interior is MB Tex, alternative leather that holds up much better over time. I assume the steering wheel is the same material.
  17. The aura sounds are far from poop, those faitals do look nice. I am always up for trying new drivers.
  18. Decided to buy a W201 chassis Mercedes Benz, it was cheap and in nice condition so I had to do it. What is wrong with another car, right? The day I bought it, did not like the wheels at all. They are from a mid 2000's E class. Check out that interior color: I found some stock pie plate wheels and put some new tires on for the winter: Previous owner did ruin the dash: Previous owner added some bass, these are two spare tire woofers from a mid 2000s Mazda: That is it for now, kicks have been sent off to get done because the car does not have any room for speakers up front stock besides 4" in the top of the dash. I will be using SSA Evil 8 ohm mids with Aurasound 3" Full Rangers. I also have a 12" Dcon laying around that I will be using for woofer duty. Amps are still up in the air but I have been trying to convince someone to sell me his old RF Punch Amplifiers. Source is an Alpine 7894, an older deck with built in DSP.
  19. You can literally just copy off of google images and post them here. Those subwoofer enclosures look cool.
  20. Yeah right from the bedroom. That is Little Traverse Bay-Lake Michigan. You can't really tell from the picture but that land across the bay is a Peninsula called Harbor Point. Across the water would be Petoskey and Bay Harbor.
  21. not a good pic to show how much snow there is up there but that view never gets old.
  22. I did the same thing, gotta go pretty far north for some snow. Our place in Harbor Springs had a ton.
  23. https://www.amazon.com/Onkyo-LS3100-ENVISION-2-1-Channel-Bluetooth/dp/B008YDTRZ4 This is about the best compromise between a sound bar and bookshelf speakers that I have found. You have two separate left and right channels that you can adjust and move to where you think sounds best. It has a wireless woofer that can be placed anywhere and puts out decent bass. It looks nice and takes up hardly any room. Unfortunately it looks discontinued, not sure if Onkyo is coming out with an updated model.
