Ok so I am helping my friend build a system for his truck and we are planing on doing one of those under seat enclosures. I wanted to know if just one or two 4" aero ports will be enough to let the sa-8 breath. I think two would work great but my friend wants me to get a second opinion.
  3. Wecome!! I'm from te south bay too Good luck with your Dcon!
  4. Opps, lol forgot about the new icons. Still an amazing setup
  5. who told you that bs
  6. He needs to support the amplifier, not the subwoofer (unless he changes the load/demand placed on the amplifier). He never said he's changing the amplifier, at least not that I read. True, but who wouldent want to run a btl on 2000+ watts
  7. If you go with a btl, make sure you will have the electrical to back it up. Most cars electrical systems will not produce 2000+ watts.
  8. That's alot of power. I hope you have the electrical to back it up that amp wil be pulling close to 600 amps at 12 volts . As for the amp, I say setstom.
  9. Great review! Probobly one of the more in depth reviews here.
  10. Is it realy bad vibrations? Because there is always going to be a certain amount on any box.
  11. Seem like a nice one, personaly I would go with a desktop oscope, but they can get prety pricy. But that handheld seems great.

It barely dips too...With the stock alternator it'd drop down to 13.2 or so on some bass notes...Now it pretty much stays solid above 14 with this dc alt...I think I need to crank the gains a bit still and also let them break in a little before... Dc power cool. I may get one of their alternators when they come out for subarus. My voltage sucks! It has never gone higher than 13.1

Nice! And you got a prety impressive voltage

I say forget that box and build your own. Using a prefab with any fi sub is just asking for trouble. As for the sub, based on your amp, I'd say the fi x or maby the ssd I keep hearing this about a prefab box, but even if I built one it would not be any different. There is no room back there and I need the seat. The shape wouldent be diferent, it's about the quality of how it's built. Almost all prefabs arenot made well at all. Heck, some don't even use mdf. I got a prefab for a 12 a year or two back and had 200 watts on the sub and the side broke loose after a week. This one is made of 3/4" MDF. Looks like it is built well enough and its cheap. So if it is made well, which sub would sound best in it? You can't base quality on how somthing looks. The box I got, but faild looked well built, but it wasn't. An I can't tell you how it will sound, it's all install dependent. it's up to you what you want to do, I would just not trust a prefab box like that. There are always places like argent audio that Build nice boxes. They make great stuff as I have seen.

  16. Tang band I think makes a 8" midbass. I may be wrong but check on parts express
