sounds like its more likely the box than the subs, have you tried free airing the subs to see if they make the same sound outside of the enclosure?

there is allot more than xmax that determines the way a sub functions. you are missing on what actually makes the two different, such as the difference in motor force, qts, power handling, sensitivity, ect. just because they have the same xmax doesn't mean they are the same.

sounds more like a browser or connection problem than a windows problem. just do what stefanhinote said and try a different browser. try this to test for speed issues http://www.speedtest.net/

audacity works. just open the file and export it as an mp3. just make sure you have the lame plugin. you can download everything you need at audacities main sight. audacity

I hope you will make a build log! Sounds like a good project. Q's do great sealed. I'd do at least 4.5 cubes per sub. Biger if you have the room. I had my q 18" in a 8 cube box seald for awhile. You won't be disapointed
