  1. Welcome Marshall. I noticed you really beat your meat like it owes you money.
  2. There will be. As I understand the situation, they will be out a little bit after the subwoofers and will be included in some full speaker sets (ie. components, ala Arco of previous generation).
  3. It's not available yet.
  4. Good luck and good health to you and yours. Some things matter, and some things don't. Take Care.
  5. I don't really have time to model these at work here, but just some theoretical nonsense behind IB. Truely infinite baffle is when system Q (Qtc) is equal to the driver Q (Qts) and system resonance (Fc) is equal to driver resonance (Fs). In all practicality, diminishing returns is achieved once you're 3-5 x Vas. As far as an aperiodic installation goes, the effects are slim to none at bass frequencies. I'll post up the math on this if I get some time to do so later today. As far as it's efficiency is concerned, maybe a couple of things worth pointing out. Due to it's long and linear BL, it's moving efficiency is actually fairly high; that is, once the coil is moving, there is no drop in BL and, thus, no drop in efficiency, whereas conventional designs grow increasingly less efficient at the outer limits of it's excursion. Above all, system efficiency reigns supreme: if you're going to be doing a large sealed or infinite baffle enclosure, system efficiency is high and you'll be utilizing the driver to it's best capabilities. If there is room for such an enclosure in your vehicle, I think you'll be in love with the sonic characteristics of this combination.
  6. I think you guys might be off your rocker. I encourage you to find similar products of an equal pedigree with better pricing. With an increased cost in materials, it is impossible to sell products made in lower volumes at the same costs they were sold two years ago.
  7. From Kevin Haskins, of DIYCable/Exodus Audio:
  8. Who'd you see?
  9. Sorry Kyle, I thought maybe it was just the motor, as you had mentioned it was the Brahma motor, which I took quite literally. My apologies for the confusion.
  10. Looks very impressive and at an incredible price. Good luck with this one Mark, though I'm not sure you'd need it.
  11. I could not be more hungover today.
  12. The Extremis is great in the bottom octaves, but lacks a lot of detail in the midrange. If you can wait for the Poly 6.5's, they might be a good option, or the Peerless Exclusive series (very good performance at an affordable price).
  13. I mean, if you're familiar with dogs, you know for a fact this is not a natural trait; are the parents saying the baby was walking around naked? Again, totally not in the dog's nature and I'm not really sure I believe it.
  14. The HyperFlex is a big difference; I agree with you there totally and love the stuff. I've held a lot of wire from other companies, though, that has virtually identical strand count as welding wire.
  15. Works fine now. Thanks Aaron.
  16. We have a gallery. I love what Mark has done, don't get me wrong...but I need a mass upload feature I don't want to have to continually bother you guys just to upload more than one photo at a time... There is a drop down menu on the right side that you can do bulk upload of more than one at a time. Try that. Screen shot? Perhaps I'm visually impaired, but I don't see it.
  17. Yikes...
  18. Just as bad here, though I read more people on CCA in SK interested in competing than in MB. One of the Visions stores sometimes throws a competition once a year.
  19. Still his product. It's a dangerous world, that internet. "OMFG, I CALELD WYANE HARRIS AND HE WAS LIKE A TTL FHEG!"
  20. This is substantially more noticeable at high frequencies (the skin depth of copper at 60Hz is just over 8mm whereas at 10kHz it is just over 0.6mm iirc), with larger amounts of current, or with much lower gauge wires. In a vehicle, it is really unimportant, and the difference between welding wire and "audio power wire" is usually the jacket.
  21. Linkzor? http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/4/369915.html That thread gave me diahrrea of a rather violent nature.
  22. Well done. Nick, chat.
