  1. thanks for the input. And i cant layout the cuts quite yet lol. I was amking sure how much i needed to get before i bought it. Ill probably end up buying 2. and the 2nd one can be my mistake sheet. First box
  2. He doesnt have enough room for 2 subs ported. if he really only has 1.5 cf he can do two Q10s sealed. He cant do a BL cause he has to have it ported. 1 BL 10 enclosure rec. 1.2 cf and correct me if im wrong but thats before displacements of a port and sub. with that much space i either go 2 q10s sealed .6 per sub. 2 ssd 10s sealed .6 per sub. Or 1 ssd or 1 q 12 sealed. wont have much room for anything else unlessyou want to sacrifice your back seat
  3. So Lowes is having a sale in my area and i noticed that 3/4 MDF 4x8 sheets are on sale for 32$ I was wondering, how many 4x8 sheets would i need to make a 4.0cf ported box After displacements. Any help is appreciated. Oh and theyre having a sale on 1/0 for 1.93$ a ft
  4. I agree on the amp for a budget setup. I don't agree with adding BP power automatically means the sub can take 1200 watts. That's install dependent. Turning the gain down to match 800 won't harm a thing. Well Yeah thats for sure but I was implying that the BP power would help take the 1200 watts better than stock would
  5. If you want a good amp that wont break the bank go for an AQ1200. 249$ shipped to your house. Just get BP power for the ssd and you'll be good to go. Are you looking at sealed or ported?
  6. Got the electrical to back it up? Nice amp
  7. Thanks for the info denim and yeah Pontiac i have that in mind 90% install
  8. 2 12 in SSDs in a 1.5? that will sound like crap. recomended 2.5 PER sub ported or 1.6 PER sub sealed. You dont have room for 2 12s if you have 1.5 cf alone. Just get 1 q 10 ported if you want SQ but still get loud or 1 BL 10 ported if you want to get loud and have sq while doing it. Plus, it's your setup, your money, buy what YOU like. People are here to help you when you have a problem not to make your choices lol.
  9. 2000-4000watts so i guess itll be perfect might be on the higher side just have to send clean bass to it and it should be fine an extra 2000 watts over the rms rating is a huge jump. Hope you know what your doing. Some people put that much on it but its install dependent. You need to have a good electrical system to power 4000 watts as well. If your gonna have 4k watts then just get 2 btls or tone it down a little
  10. Thanks guys. But im planning on running it with the Audiopipe AP1500. Since the SSDs are 800 ea and sa's are 600 ea i should just get the sa's?
  11. so your saying its basically the same stuff? I just have to pick?
  12. Im wondering which to get. 2 Fi SSD 12s in its optimal enclosure or 2 Sundown Sa-12s in their optimal enclosure both will be running on the same amp. Im wondering which would get loud and retain sound quality while doing it. All ported by the way.
  13. if your worried about space. post your max dimensions and im sure someone would sketch a box and If your only lookin at 1.5 i would suggest a bl 10
  14. but thats not right. If they want a large enclosure just get a SSD 18 or something i mean i bet that would be way better than ib3 in a box.
  15. i thought ib3s were made for infinite baffle setups.
  16. You could get a BL d1 and an audioque 2200D and then wire the sub at 2 ohms for 1300watts rms. then once you get enough money for h/o alt 2nd batt and all the other electrical upgrades then go out and buy a 2nd bl d1 then wire it all down to 1 ohm for 2200watts rms. but youd have to build a box for two subs and replace it with the single
  17. Idk what did you get today jk very nice
  18. Those amps put out rated right? was Looking into the tarantula series and D-tower
  19. Yeah i mean thats fine. But i wouldnt suggest turning the headunit up all the way. probably 35/50 because i highly doubt youll always be listening to it all the way up but its up to you. I would think having it all the way up would blow your speakers. But when setting the gain, listen for distortion. When that starts bring it back down just a hair and you should be good. But look around your local shops and ask if they have an o-scope or ask some help setting the gains
  20. He means dont be an idiot and use the bass knob or any bass boost features on your amp/head unit or anything else and to set your gains correctly and carefully. The gain is NOT a volume knob. Set your gains with an o-scope. Clipping will kill your equipment. Set your subsonic filter as well as it will keep everything under control at different frequencies. Don't turn your volume knob on the head unit all the way up. Just because your gain knob is at halfway of its full turning point does NOT mean that you aren't using all the power you paid for in the amp. You could be getting full power at 1/4. It all depends. An SSD can blow at 500rms and wont blow at 1500rms. It depends on the install. Hope i answered your question and if im wrong just shoot me
  21. Well I was just wondering what all were in these awesome subs but uh everything an oompa loompa makes, love is implied.

Think about it. You are going to NEED to beef up your electrical if you havent already to accomodate 2200 watts of power. Big 3, Extra Battery, and if your voltage is still significantly dropping then high output alternator will be the next thing you need. I highly doubt your car was made to take in 2200 watts of extra power. That will be to much of a strain on your electrical. If you dont have the money to keep your electrical steady then keep the bl then work your way up.
  23. it was the thought of oompa loompas on pixie dust making subwoofers that did it for me
  24. That was EXACTLY what i was looking for. You'll be hearing from me soon. Thank you very much.
