Want to get my hubby a pair of xcons
Thx guys, I also forgot to mention that he mostly listens to rap music loudly. He occasionally listens to r&b and rock but I don't think that these two influences his music goals. He loves thick low notes on rap music that shakes the entire insides of the car. I am really stuck on the Xcons. I wish there was some way we could demo them so I could see the expression on his face, but that may ruin my surprise if he loves them to much and ends up buying them for himself, lol.

On the TDXs he has 2 mtx ta7801d amplifiers. Each sub has dual 2 ohm voice coils, wired to their own independant amp down to 1 ohm.

Hello
Thanks, but I must confess that the only reason I really took interest in car audio is because I really wanted to wow him with a new setup. I know this is something he loves and enjoys so I just want to support him and that is when the itch began, lol.

Hello
Hello, I just recently took interest in the car audio world for the sake of my husband. Been lurking the forums for quite some time and feel like it is time to speak up and gain some more knowledge.

Want to get my hubby a pair of xcons
Hello everybody, as the title says I want to suprise my husband with a pair of xcon 15s, but I do not want him to be dissappointed with my purchase. After I decided that I wanted to get him some subwoofers for his birthday I started asking him, his friends, and his brothers questions about his current setup so that I would not spend my money in vain. After much research I have narrowed it down to the xcons. My husband claims that he likes sound quality woofers that have the ability to get loud, which I take are right up the xcon alley. Currently my husband has dual 15 inch Diamond TDX subwoofers and I constantly hear him say that they are hard to beat and are the best woofers that he has ever owned. Some of his friends have jl audio woofers and they cannot even outperform his setup (He claims). I know that install and the vehicle play a key role in musical performance. The vehicle that he has then installed in is a 96 chevy impala. If anyone has any experience with both the diamond TDX and the Xcon subwoofers please help a lady out in wowing her husband with a new set of woofers that can outperform his current setup. As a side note my husband builds his own enclosures so that will not be a problem, he sometimes swaps his ported enclosure with a sealed enclosure depending on if we need trunk room when I go shopping . After all this rambling, I guess my real question is, would the Xcons be a excellent replacement for the TDXs?
