  1. Hopefully he's just busy and nothings wrong. The forum's been a lot different without him.
  2. Congrats on the score. Pretty great score in itself, but in a trunk it's really impressive.
  3. Don't forget about cabin gain. Depending on what you listen to a bloated low end probably won't be desireable. Take Sefugi's advice if you're shooting for maximum SPL.
  4. How large of an enclosure are you able to use? If you have the space I'd suggest larger woofers if you're looking for more output. Generally the enclosure required for an 8" driver isn't much smaller than a comparable 10" because of the volume displaced by the port. Especially with low tuned enclosures.
  5. First thing to do is take some measurements. Figure out your depth restricions and the size of enclosure you'll be using. Then figure out what your friends goals are for the system and a budget. You won't get any solid reccomednations without that information.
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bg9J8zOxELo&feature=related The first thing this thread made me think of is Top Gear's Sirocco commercial.
  7. The ability to see better at night... http://www.google.com/#hl=en&sugexp=ppwl&cp=10&gs_id=1r&xhr=t&q=HID+vs+halogen&pq=hid+vs+stock&pf=p&sclient=psy-ab&source=hp&pbx=1&oq=HID+vs+hal&aq=0&aqi=g4&aql=&gs_sm=&gs_upl=&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&fp=a4bf1f75d531ad22&biw=1366&bih=673 That's not necessarily the case, especially when they're aimed downwards to prevent other drivers from being blinded. You end up with a big bright puddle of light in front of your car which is usually mistaken to mean that the HID's are better. Sure it's brighter than halogen, but the beam's range is less than that of the factory halogen bulbs. Standard halogen housings weren't meant to house HID's and the reflections occur as a result of this.
  8. A buddy of mine had a pair of khakis with Teflon on them. He went to demonstrate to me how they repelled water and dumped half a 2 liter of Coke on his pants. Turns out after you wash them a few times it wears off and his pants ended up absorbing pretty much all of the Coke.
  9. What kind of amp do you have? I think you have a HU with processing so if you have a 4 channel amp you should really rethink running active. Something on the DIY market would probably be able to exceed the capabilities of what you've posted for the price.
  10. That's what I had in mind. There's a street legal 4WD version too.
  11. Or you hate Toyota I was just fuckin with ya since I've never seen a guy driving a Celica. Depends on the generation. I've never seen a dude with a current gen celica, but a few guys I went to high school with had one like his. I think there was a 4WD version developed for rally too.
  12. Just picked up my new phone. Can't wait to officially switch carriers and activate this bitch
  13. WOOT
  14. WOW ! That is sweet!! It entertained me through class today
  15. Best site ever http://www.autosalon-singen.de/_virtueller_Rundgang/tourdaten_fuer_website/tour_en.html
  16. Thanks for the correction. Most people compared 9887 to pioneer 880prs so are there any new model Pioneers that are active capable... p.s. there's nothing wrong with the alpine it's just that alpine is the only thing i've run and want to switch it up and try something new. The P99 is Pio's new active HU. They're very expensive. Unless you specifically need it's capabilities over a P880's I'd choose a P880. If you want to switch out the 9887 you could possibly trade for a P880. The P880 offers L/R EQ whereas the 9887 does not.
  17. They found shit too IIRC. The cheap car challenges are always the best
  18. I rarely play video games, but I prefer the Battlefield series. If you're not set on COD you should look into BF3.
  19. Reminds me of the photos they find of people on those Dateline stories.
  20. Where did you read that? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/08/stroke-turned-gay-welsh-jock-_n_1082398.html Want me to hit you on the head? Lol, I was just curious if that was real. Pretty crazy story.
  21. Where did you read that?
  22. Haha that would have been sweet.
  23. Were all your TV times off an hour or do local broadcasters correct that?
  24. Yesterday evening I was working in the driveway, had shit laid for everywhere, one minute it's light, another it's dark and I'm scrambling to put everything away. I enjoy working outside, but when it starts getting dark at 5pm it sucks. Well I guess that means winter is on the way. It pisses me off. We need more daylight in the winter, not the summer. DST is bullshit. Some areas don't observe it. I think there's a city in Indiana that doesn't. It's alright at first when it's light out on the way to work, but in a few months it'll be dark again
  25. That looks amazing Stef. I don't know why you hate wrapping, you're pretty damn good at it
