I guess if I order mine next month, I will make sure to call ahead of time and make sure they have them in stock at that exact time before placing my order, I would prefer the 5-7 days as I know you would have loved as well.

I just checked a topic I started with them about these alts and they said est. 5-7 days, and He said if housings are in stock maybe even 1-2 bus. days. BUT... On mine it says he is getting more housings for these alts in on monday the 28th of march ( this monday ) so it sounds like they were temp. out of stock and getting them in monday?..

:L Urgh, I was planning on purchasing an alt next month from DC for my 1997 honda civic HB.. they said usually ships out 48hrs I thought?.. well at least if you pick one of the "3" on the site.. Now im nervous to order from DC.. I really wanted one next month but this makes me nervous Lol.. ( especially since we have the same alt choices as each other.. I was going to order I believe the same one you are speaking of Priced @ $320?.. )

I bought a used battery and it works like a charm, But I guess it all depends on how the previous owner treated it. I bought mine from someone on here and I know it was treated very good 13v is possible I believe on Kinetik batts like I run, So I assume it is possible on xs batts.

Thanks did em myself woot! I usually do stuff with friends over but those I actually risked it and went all out one day and they turned out surprisingly well.

I remember when I thought I was cool runnin my w7.. Then I heard this kid's fi ssd 12 and I was like holy momma thats nice.. never heard of that.. And looked it up and eventually ended up on ssa.com and havin a sundown amp and a fi sub.. Lol. I hate when kids are like LOL sundown.. what is sundown, that must be crap.. and what the heck is "fi" is that an off brand.. ( I cant wait to get my 18" xcon.. then they will be like "LOL what's a "SSA"?? " then I'll slap the crap outta their face and they will be like "Oh.. so that's an SSA XCON"

( not sayin my car is clean inside or out, they are just random ) Tinted TailLights (This was during speaker install.. The random wires are for led's they were on the dual speakers.. decided they were dumb and took off wires.. too much of a pain (made speakers glow blue ) Old Voltmeter ( Just install digital stinger the other day )

It's actually just wire from a memphis set I got at my local audio shop. I go there all the time so the guy gave me like $10 off that pack which included an anl fuse holder and it ended up cheaper than I could have bought everything separately at the price he gave it to me for.

Lol, alright. I guess it will just have to play on the 1200 until I get money for a 2,000-2,500 watt amp. ( plus I think the 1200 might put out over 1200 with good voltage.. so maybe since im gettin a new alt first that will boost the voltage and amp power anyway until I can afford the next amp I Just need that xcon so bad, I can't wait to blow the crap outta my civic!! this wimpy 18" ssd already tortures my civic but man the xcon hahahaha I cant wait

Dude I know right, these amps are so beast! Hey question anyone.. If i purchase an Xcon 18 and run it on my sundown sax 1200d.. Is it goin to still pound.. I mean ,.. 1st I need my alt then next I want the xcon.. and I wont be able to get a new amp until after that, I figure 1200 is still quite a bit of power but it handles close to 2,000 So i wasnt sure if 1200 would even flex it much.

I think an SSA Xcon would be perfect for what you want. Unless you get a good deal on a Fi BL/Btl on here those are both good as well. I love my 18" Fi ssd, I just want more output as Im a basshead and need like 30,000wrms before Im happy. ( I would even consider sellin you my 18" Fi Ssd if you don't find another deal first ) Im plannin on gettin a new setup soon if possible. Its dual 2ohm and can run 800-1000w all day long

looks like a need to buy an Xcon 18" so I can be a team member and get a sticker to represent. This 18" ssd isn't cuttin it anyway, it's lame sauce compared to what i want, but i'm kinda waitin to see more about this Zcon..

Lol at everyone commenting at old thread.. but since it's up again, I use 12awg for speaker to amp, 4awg power/ground, 1200w to 1 Fi ssd Is there a difference in power wire & speaker wire?.. or are they interchangeable.. ( do i need more than 12awg for my sub to amp?..)

Just got home from work about an hour ago and found this came in the mail!! Blue Stinger Digital Voltmeter!! I've wanted one for so long! I cant wait to get rid of my junky one I got at an auto parts store, this one I will actually be able to tell the voltage as its exact and digital One question, When I set my voltage on this, Do I do it with the engine off?.. like turn the key to acc, but have the engine "off" ? Or do I need the engine on to set the voltage using my dmm and screwdriver?

Thanks for the encouragement lol, sometimes I get in the mood to take a day and accomplish something awesome like this and others, if i find a cheap deal I get them to do it as i know they will do it correctly and if not they will fix it til its right lol. Im afraid id get it out and not be able to get the new one in and then get depressed. but either way ill figure it out I guess.

dang ouch, we have a friend who owns a shop ( i bought my car from him as well) who usually gives us outstanding deals ( sometimes labor for free or next to nothing, so I may ask him a quote, if its much ill get some buddys for a guys weekend and we'll get on it lol, He fixed me up not long ago, new water pump, timing belt, new radiator, thermostat, hoses and all labor plus a few other parts I cant think of all for what $300 bucks, when the timing belt alone usually cost $500.. ( the 300 included all parts and labor Rofl )

I also wanted to go the cheap route ($320 210/100) because I have heard civic's are a pain to change and figure i will be paying someone to change my alts for me, as I wouldnt have a clue what I am doing, and I have NO idea what they might charge me to install the alt.. So I was leaning towards your low priced alt to make up for that as Im poor atm due to college payments. (anyone know an estimate going rate someone might charge to install an alt?.. never needed it so I dont know pricing)
