ngsm strikes back! LOL I was thinking of showing him that video w/those two Audiobahn 6.5s but I wasn't sure where to find the vid, nor what SPL level they reached. For a guy (born2drv) who's "studied mechanical engineering for four years and taken numerous physics courses. I even took a specific course on accoustics and vibrations as well as fluid dynamics which is also relevent to this discussion" He sure doesn't have a good grasp on speaker theory...that's too bad.

Well the turbo on the Supra seized up today...ugh...to replace with a stock one or to upgrade...that is the question.

...I have a 3" turbo-back exhaust and I want an SQ system. ...I have a performance-oriented car, yet I'm installing a full-blown stereo system in it...regardless of weight. ...I toss and turn in bed thinking of possible front stage choices. ...I become unhappy at a concert or movie because I'm not seated in the center of the stage/screen (skewed staging). ...I spend hours upon hours looking at and researching DIY drivers for my next front stage...and then going in a completely different direction and spending hours upon hours researching again...all in the same night.

Same here...I find test useless in school...you cram for a test, then you forget everything anyways. That's why we have books people, so you don't have to memorize everything!! School...bah!!

To be honest, I can't draw a parallel between inductance and transient response (or SQ as some believe it to be)...aurally, anyways. After owning an AA Brahma 12 and an SI Mag D2 12, I found the Mag D2 to be superior to the Brahma when it came to transient response (the Brahma seemed much too laid back, didn't enjoy its sound). And when you look at the inductance of each, they're radically different (can't remember the measurement of the Mark I Brahma[quite low, I'm sure]; the SI D2 is 3.5mH)...yet, what I was hearing was directly opposite of the info on SiN... Take it as you will, but I side with those who don't let specs govern what they hear...I would rather listen to the driver first, then formulate my opinion.
